Once upon a time, i met two girls, Joanna and Raphaëlle. They were in a cinema college and had to realize a project concerning new kinds of dancing. They first thought to do something with capoera and needed something more. I talked with them and showed them few tricks in a dancing routine. They immidiately decided to add freestyle footbag in this project. I first went with them in a studio in their university, in the north of Paris, in order to do some trys.
And there, we saw that for this project, it was not so good to do fat tricks, it was actually more beautifull to do very simple things. Moreover they had to show this project to their teachers who did not know anything about footbag. It was quite difficult, to see the bag while playing because there was no light except the picture projector.
Then i asked Grisha to come with me in order to shoot something with two shadows, which is really good when there is a big and a small one.
I was not so fond of their photos, but as it was their project, i did not ask to change them.
I think this is a cool project, yet it could be better as far as i am concerned: better pictures and better editing (and better footbaggers... I prefer to say it before anyone else).
Well, just enjow:
