Circle or Solo?

I personally prefer shredding in a circle. For some reason, I always do so much better. It may be because I get to rest a little between strings, so I can hit moves a lot cleaner. I also enjoy watching other people shred, and giving them props after an awesome run.

SOLO! I love playing with others, but the atmosphere is much more laid back so I dont normally push myself as hard. In a solo session, I can really focus, keep the bag as long as I want to, and hit everything I think of off the top of my head without having to wait to get the bag back.

on a skill level, sometimes I do worse solo then with others, vice versa. It's a tie from that perspective.

But it's so much cooler to shred with other people no matter how good or bad you are doing! I would choose circle over solo any day.

I like both pretty equally...I was going to say leaning more towards solo, but then I wanted to lean more the other way. I would have to say I'm completely bothsided in this regard.

I love selfserving and skooling a combo or move a million times over, and not worrying about dropping on a first try, or whatever, when alone, or skooling osis moves (because I know I will drop 90% osii in the circle). But I also find it so much more fun when I hit a rad run when my friends are watching, or watching them bust. I remember back when Derek used to play all the time, I would always say how it was more fun to watch him than to actually play myself... I also remember my last 2+ person jam with Derek and Jess and it was super fun just hanging out and trying silly moves and laughing and crap

But at the same time I usually hate using someone else's bag

I like huge, empty bags -- all those teeny "mini"s everyone plays with today are waaaayyy too rolly and uber frustrating for me. Call me old fashioned, but I loved the Juice bag.

I'm dying to play right now, but rather than solo sessioning want to wait until tomorrow when I can potentially play with Derek at school. At the same time I really want a solo session later in the week before I go to Chicago and jam with the CIC

well, i said solo just because the only people i like to footbag with are Nathan and Mark.

i enjoyed very much playing with David and Gordon but its a little embarassing because I don't practice much at all and I suck

I play better solo because I think I can get more of a flow going. When in a circle it's hard to keep the flow going unless it's 3 or less people.

But it's way more fun in a circle than solo, especially with the guys I play with here.

So, I put both.

It's almost the opposite for me. I push myself harder normally with others around and then when I'm by myself, I find it harder to push my limits. So yeah, circle kicking is the shit, I am always awaiting the next event with complete anxiousness. Shredding with my crew is always a fun venture, I always have more fun, always !

Both. Most definately. When I solo I school and drill and try out new concepts and fool around. In some ways I feel a lot more comfortable on my own, like I can try whatever I want and it doesn't matter how many times I drop it. But I think it's vitally important to play solo often, and it's a different type of fun than cricles.

Circles are obviously sick of course

I live about an hour and a half from the Melbourne crew, and I don't get down there as much as I'd like. I shred solo 90% of the time so I look forward to circles sooooo much

I seem to not do strings very much solo, just drills etc, so then when I play in a circle I'm like "Wow, I can string so much better than last time!" I probably should solo string more...

In a circle. I can always hit harder moves and better strings when in a circle. Solo, i get frustrated, tired and randomly drop the most basic moves.

I don't have a lot of choice. I think that i prefer to shred solo, because I got used to it so much, but on other hand I enjoyed playing in circle so much, so I think that my choice would be like - everyday solo, and 1 or 2 days a week in the circle.
Yeah... this would be good balance for improvement.

I like playing in a circle more simply because it's better for my attitude. When I shred solo it's hard to bear in mind that a lot of strings will be shorter and more abrupt because I'm going harder and over a shorter duration of time as opposed to in a circle with a solid break between each bust. Further, with a solid break you're able to reset yourself and not let fatigue form bad habits due to rushing through schooling something. Both are useful, though. There are different types of group and solo sessions. Tournaments are by far the best, though!

I like both. I always have willie and pat to shred with, so i mostly circle shred. Although, i like it when i get to solo and work on things that bother me about my style

Usually I shred in a circle. I sometimes prefer solo more because I don't have others around trying to tell me how to do this or that and ruining the mindset that I was in at that point. I seem to hit more moves solo, too, sometimes. I mostly shred in a circle because I don't kick any other time.
