OMG man, Christie is ALL Cheese. Yeah, she's hot and all but anyone can win with Christie. Try a more challenging character.
josh b wrote:IM CALLIN OUT ANYONE WHO PLAYS TEKKEN (tag, 4, and 5)!!! and 5 my NINA will kill you, hands down. shes broke. dont even try
You're on. Lei's a beast with like 120+ moves and 8 different stances. Nuff said.
yea 1+2+3+4 is charge up, makes any hit a CH, and on some machines it does guard damage...its pretty useless for the most part.

DUDE at high level play christie is one of the harder characters to get good with. in T5 the cheese (broke) characters are nina, steve, and heihachi. T4 king of tekken brokeness was JIN with the JFLS hahaha what a joke that was. guaranteed half life bar + off of...what was it...15 (i think) frame mid NON CH! tekken tag was actually pretty balanced, but the mishimas/ogres still own.

id like to play josh wayborn because he sounds like he knows whats up. though owning arcade scores (unless its a respectable arcade) really means theres just a lot of scrubs lining up to get their asses handed to them.

Peter, Chris, and Chan..youre on my hit..err...challenge list! :D

oh yea, i forgot. this isnt a tekken thread...

Nina and Lei are the shit in Tekken Tag...

I sent many a korean[s] home cryin about how lame it was they couldn't beat me for hours ... One guy was so mad his friend had to keep him from getting in a real fight w/ me over it :? Said I was "looking at his keys" at the start of the game L O L O L

Edit: This was at a NICKEL arcade

Okay well my rule is if someone plays me with Christie, I get to use her as well. It's pretty hard to block her shit. Whatever, I had to suffer with neutered Lei in Tekken Tag. But in 5 he's back in full glory, with a bunch of new moves even! And cool outfits! And he's even got this like chinese wizard's hat. It's sick.

I gotta say that i'm a suckah 4 old skool games...so addictive!!

1. Civilization 2( i told ya)
2. Perfect Dark (N64)
3. Medal of Honour-Allied Assault
4. Gta San Andreas
5. Battlefeild 1942
Um... maybe I'm wrong, but arn't those all pretty new games, they're all N64 and higher right... which older ones do you like? It's always helpful to know since i wasn't playing games when SNES and NES stuff or older was coming out so I kind of missed most of them.

Definitely two games of note. The Core Contingency (for no. 2 up there) is one of the best Expansion Packs ever made.

Now if I were to name...hmmm...I've never been much of a console gamer, I only ever had an NES. So I'll stick with best PC games of all time. I'll go "of all time" too...seems like everyone is looking back like 3 years. San Andreas is good...but come on, best?

1. Deus Ex
- Best of the best as far as storylines go. This game pulled you in and played like a movie the whole way through.
2. The Descent Series
- How about if we could move vertically too! Hello true 3d! :) This game paved the way for pretty much any present day first person shooter.
3. The Commander Keen Trilogy
- What needs to be said? If you are too young to have played this...I am very very sorry.
4. Total Annihilation
- Absolutely amazing soundtrack, groundbreaking multiplayer gameplay, outstanding single player campaigns...and a ridiculous degree of replayability. Don't even say Starcraft. This game MADE Starcraft.
5. Alone in the Dark
- The first 3d adventure game ever made. The game's 4 installation floppy disks are framed on the wall above my desk. Think Resident Evil, but with 95% less polygons.

...and the next 5...because there's so many in my head.

6. Doom
- Clearly.
7. King's Quest 1. Not 8.
- The first graphical adventure game. Wowee!
8. X-Com
- Sooooo many features, and not one too many. Crazy amount of replayability. Seriously, way ahead of its time.
9. Half-Life 1 and 2
- As far as an immersive storyline goe, this one ranks second only to Deus Ex.
10. Diablo
- Aside from its fantastic (and addictive!) gameplay, it revealed a market for brining the online gaming community together. At the time, battle.net was a very unique, and very incredible thing.

Other titles swimming around in my head that I wish I could add to the list...

System Shock 2
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2
The Thief series
The Wing Commander Series
Everquest (Actually, I guess "The Realm" came before EQ. :) )
The Civilization Series
SimCity
Unreal
Quake
The Myst Series
Age of Empires/Age of Kings
The Neverhood
The Lemmings series
The Rayman Series
King's Quest 2 through 6, emphasis on 5 and 6
Hero's Quest, Hero's Quest 2, Quest for Glory 3, Shadows of Darkness and Dragon Fire. That's a series, by the way.
Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2
N
Worms
The Command and Conquer series

Ugh, so many. :D

I played, like, all of those games you listed, Kevin -- good memories!
THE NEVERHOOD WAS AWESOME!!!!! The only problem is I've had to wait forever to be able to forget the story so I can play again some time!! We played Descent ALL the time!! We had it on the school network in highschool and played all the time during class and stuff when we weren't supposed to. My brother had that Descent Freespace, or whatever, but it was so totally not the same.

Another game I LOOOVED was this really ghetto flight simulator called "STAR FIGHTER"....you flew around with, like, just the four arrow keys, plus excellerate and reverse and shoot. You could level ALL FORMS OF TERRAIN! You could shoot through mountains, or completely evaporate them. And when you blew up enemy ships and buildings they would explode in these crazy coloured shapes which would give you sweet upgrades in certain combinations. Did anybody play this game? I loved it soooo much, and I've never found a more fun fflight simulator!! I was sooo good, and I could fly and dodge anything at any speed, like, flying full speed under the giant pipes on the ground, or whatever.

Thief was also my favourite game for the longest time!! I tried to replay it a year ago or so and realize how bad it actually was compared to games now... It was such a rad concept, though!!! I love sniping with a bow from the shadows.

Wing Commander too, with Will Hammel!!

Hey, what was that game...all I remember is the first part of the game because we played the demo soooo much. It starts out with this pretty long cutscene, a guy drives up to his lab and it's all dark and there is lightning. Somehow he is teleported into another world...OH! "OUT OF THIS WORLD" I think... He's teleported to another world and you run around (side-scrolling action) avoiding these slimey worm things that fall from the ceiling. Then there is, like, a giant black monster that chases you, and you have to run from screens and screens until you get to this vine, where you swing across a cliff to the other side...did anyone play this one? There are so many great old games!

Ninja Gaiden, what!! I love that game. I think Tenchu: Return to Darkness is more fun, though.

wizardry was cool jon, now that is real OLD SKOOL! My dad loved it so I got into it.

I love Halo 2, I think its the greatest game ever because it continues to be explored EVERYDAY!!! Something new is found. By far the best game ever.

I played the Deus Ex demo and I've been looking for it for a couple years now. I just remembered taht I did find it for $5 at big lots.

I liked Age of Empires/Kings back in the day. It was a pretty sweet game and soo hard online. I was a n00b for sure.

FIFA 2003 is by far/*so far the best soccer game I've played. I have mastered the shit out of it.

BTW, playstation is not the best console in anyway possible. I can't think of anything other than the easier control setup how playstation is the best.

Yeah Troy, Shenmue was freaking awesome -- another really amazing free-roamer!! I only played #2, though...I don't know why we didn't have the first one. Wasn't it supposed to be, like, in 11-game installments????? Shenmue was awesome, and also had some really epic music... One of the songs sounds EXACTLY identical to the theme of Princess Mononoke!!!

Oh yeah, I think it's because we have it for XBox, and could never find the Dreamcast copies.

My brother played Deus Ex, but I think that was before I really played any computer games?... maybe I was playing Thief then...
