I heard that you were going to send them but hadn't done it yet.

I'm pretty sure I'll be sending out PM's after I get home tonight.

I just got my postcard from Erik Chan! Yeah! It reminded me I need to send mine out. They'll be out very soon. If not this week, then next for sure.

I'm about done with running this. Who wants to take over? PM me. (AS IN: PLEASE DON'T POST IT IN HERE.) Please, only PM me if you're interested in doing it for a long time, not just a month or two. If no one wants to take over I'll still keep doing it for sure.

I'm kind of losing interest...I guess maybe 'cause I haven't got one in a while (a month? :p) It's so easy though...I think it would be more fun if everyone was doing it...it so doesn't cost anything or take any amount of time. It would be so rad to have NO idea who you're going to get from, instead of almost having to recycle the list of everyone involved after a few months.

perhaps we could change it so we just have a sticky topic with everybodies address who want to be involved and people can just randomly send postcards when they want. Of course if you put your name down you'd be expected to send cards and people who get cards could post that they got one so we don't have people who are unable to send cards on the list.

edit: or they could be on a seperate list because I'd still be happy to send cards to people even if I weren't getting any replies.

That might be a good idea, because there would be two lists: people who want to send and people who want to recieve. Potentially those who post for recieving may figure, "I may as well send too, what's the big deal?" And maybe this would get more people to send and recieve....?

Okay, the postcard exchange isn't happening anymore. Chema still hasn't received a postcard from anyone. :( If anyone feels like sending another one I'm sure he would appreciate it.

of course there is maybe some kind of neglection of the postcards but I am sure if you get one or two the motivation will be much higher to send your postcards as well - do not finish this great topic/idea.

Thanks for this great work Moxie ( Quite cool today I found out that moxie means courage)

If you'd like to take over I'd be happy to send you the lists that I have of who was taking part and who everyone has sent to/received from. But I've had my run.

Could we arrange organizer shifts? I mean, all the stuff wouldn't fall on someone's shoulders, the "organizer" would change after 1,2,3,... postcard exchanges.

I may not be sending cards myself (very much), but if someone's still interested in doing this, I could organize the next exchange.
But I think this needs something more; it was a really good idea by Jochen to send a bag that would be then passed to a next shredder, everyone always putting something to the package.
Ideas?

I think that the two ideas have nothing in common than the word postcard.

BRENDA is something not very many people will see in a short period of time ( and people won't know who else will see their cards) and the postcard thing is something which should be really personal.
I am glad to get a card which I knew he write down a few sentences and thought about me .

I take the supervision of the next round !

each month I will announce another person who will manage who have to send a postcard to whom.
So there is only one round you have to take responsibility for the success of this project .

If you do not like to take this job for one round than do not join the exchange .
this is some kind of filter maybe.

I will start another topic with this information and so people can join this .
