Few moves and sick 3

I agree that the whirl on Toxic looked thin to the. I always find it weird when one person in a post points it out (like Jeremy in this case) and nobody else comments... does that mean that nobody agrees? Or nobody cares? Or does everybody not feel the need to weigh in, because they agree?

The Sick 3 was incredible. The duck on gangsta party was very high, it could have been tighter. But I think the duck was legit. Gangsta party as the middle trick in sick 3, especially when you step out of it, is bad-ass. This is the level of Sick3 that people should strive for in an online comp, since you have so much time to prepare it.

Great sick 3, and good attempt at the Sick1. I'd love to see it hit more cleanly.

Because Honza in his first post stated that the camera angle made his tricks look THE. Therefore, its repetitive to state that his tricks look THE. That was really impressive

B) Srive to be as good as the #2 finisher in worlds the last 2 years. check.

This is exactly what I was talking about in my "calling the" topic - would you rather I keep it to myself and not call people 'the' on video? I personally don't count a move as being hit at all if it's 'the'. I don't understand why people give somebody props for something that they haven't hit. I footed nuke symp egg the other day but if somebody tried to prop me for it I wouldn't accept it. Getting close to a move counts for nothing (apart from mental confidence).

You don't count a move as being hit at all if you foot it? Sure, you haven't hit it, but completely discrediting it? That's nonsense. There's plenty of merit in footing a move. You've come far enough to get that close to a move. Giving someone props for footing a move just gives them the encouragement to continue on with their attempts. You don't have to say, "Props on pdx backside bladerunner!" You could just say, "Man, that was a good try! Here's a rebate, hit that!"

yeah, again I'm not talking about in person but on video and on the internet. In person if somebody gets really close to a move my reaction is usually something along the lines of:

"wow nice try - I'm sure you could hit that" - sometimes it's even "keep trying until you hit that" and I continue to give the person rebates. If somebody hits a "the" move while I'm kicking with them I don't call it until after their run either and rather than saying "that's the" - I do my best to give advice so that they know what to do next time. "your paradon would be better if you do this..."

Having fun is always the focus of my time playing footbag and I definitely put fun in front of perfection. Watching videos and reading post on the internet is different because all you get is the foobag skills - not the personality involved. That's why I hate watching solo session vids most of the time and do my best not to watch them. If you're putting something in the public arena I think you should be prepared to face criticism regarding how clean it is - both in posts and in videos.

Even if your foot doesn't totally go around the bag as clean as possible, the maneuver itself is still insanely hard. I think the hardest part of the trick is getting the maneuver, not how well your leg went around it, I mean you did the trick thinking it was there so its just as hard. Its not a big deal, if you come that close, you can definatly clean it up, thats that.

I know Honza can hit these clean...but that said, I slow mo'ed the montage rake, and the camera angle has nothing to do with it looking thin. I think you just plain missed the dex.

Maybe I'll upload a slo-mo version if I find the time.
