Erik Chan in Chicago Nov. 2-4
Hey Chicago!
I am going on a school field trip to Chicago for the week of October 31st until November 4th. I know nothing other than that at the moment, but it's a Fine Arts field trip, so we will probably be setup in a hotel close to your biggest art gallery. I would love to meet the new school of CIC (and see Eric, Tim, and Zeke again!!), and hopefully jam too!
My first year field trip was really laid back, and I don't think there are any rules. We're supposed to check out art galleries and whatnot, but I really don't dig that anyway. I will update this when I know more, like where we'll be staying, when I arrive and depart, my cell number if I figure out the details on roaming and all that, etc.
EDIT:
THIS IS THE OFFICIAL ERIK CHAN IN CHICAGO INFO:
Hotel: Best Western Inn of Chicago (162 E. Ohio @ Michigan Ave., Tel: 312-787-3100)
Arrival in Chicago: Wednesday, November 2, 9am
Departure from Chicago: Friday, November 4, 10pm
"Designated Free Time": Wednesday evening and Thursday evening

So I asked for info today, and all they could tell me at this point is that we will be at the Best Western downtown, at the given dates. They will have an itinerary, but I asked if I would get it soon, and the office woman said, "Probably not"... But the name of the hotel should give you some idea of where I will be, even if it doesn't mean much to me, as I don't live there.
I'm looking forward to this now! Woo! Does Brian Parsons live far away/still play footbag?

That's me missing 1/1 butterflies in my ten-pound Airwalks. I still have those shoes and I think those are the shorts I played in today -- they're littered with holes, from like, 7 years ago??
I remember asking you and Dan so many stupid questions, like, "Have you ever heard of footbag.org?" and "Wow -- the world champion might come here today??" @___________@ My choir instructor was soooo impressed by you guys!
I guess it will be too cold to play at Navy Pier in November? What's the weather like there? It's starting to freeze up here.

It's been getting cooler the past couple weeks. Yeah, it might get too cold to shred outdoors by the time you get in. The coldest I've shred in lately has been about 55F (roughly 13 celsius)

Erik, be a part of the American culture for real and go to THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW!! Tickets are free. If you want to go, tell a local to call to get the tickets.

Hey guys, I will be there in just over a week, can I get some phone numbers and other contact info for when I arrive? I will have my cell phone, but I haven't really looked into the roaming charges thing yet, so I don't know if I will want to use my phone much. Never-the-less, my number is 204-952-5446, I'm gonna have to practice a bit beforehand, I haven't played for a couple weeks. I can't wait. I figure it will take over a day to bus there, so we're probably there Tuesday-Thursday (leaving Monday, returning Friday)...that's still all I know -- I've recieved no information. I will find out as much as I can as soon as I can. Looking forward to shredding with CIC!
