I've been throwing knives for a while. I use a 10 inch weighted hunting knife and a stump in my backyard. It's tons of fun if you ever get to do it with a good knife.

P.s. i killed a squirrel one time with a good throw......please don't hate me. :?

I used to throw utility razor blades for the hell of it a few years back, I found that placing my index finger on the point of the blade and forcing it downward when i threw the blade (giving the object an upward spin) worked quite well, and helped with accuracy. That picture looks like a fun time - I hope you have a good temper :?

You obviously don't play enough Counter-Strike.

Wow, this thread is old!

I just got into knife throwing. It's hard at first, but after a few hours, I was able to stick it 9 out of 10 times at a distance of 15feet, and 10 out of 10 at closer ranges, with quite excellent accuracy.

The knives I have are "Pakistan" Stainless knives, that probably only weigh 50-60 grams, which is excessively light!

I prefer the Hammer-grip, and knifethrowing.info got me started as well. That Russian guy is BADASS, and I cannot believe the long-distance shots, no-spin shots, and behind the back shots he makes. Incredible to say the least.

Ive had a couple knives like that one in the picture(probably had that exact model). Bad for throwing.

Best for slipping into somebodys luggage or jacket pocket before they go to the airport. :)
