Hip joint popped out?? That's freaky. My tutor at uni was talking about how the more stable a joint is, the less mobile it is and was making a comparison between the shoulder and hip joints. He said people used to dislocate their hips when their cars smashed and they weren't wearing seat belts. Their knees would hit the dashboard, the force would trave up their thighs and the femur would break through the socket and that was supposedly the type of force required to dislocate it. Guess not
. Anyway, that's my babble.
Had shin splints and every now and then a sore knee.

Pain free unless:
Nuclear work KILLS my hip, but just for like an hour, then its fine.
Hours of hard shred with a lot of stepping and symposium can bring on shin splints, (hehe, had them yesterday) but they go away til the next hard shred in a day. I currently use the regular insoles though, can't find the spencos yet, that could eliminate them altogether.

Good insoles, stretch your calves and shins, excercise them. Don't work them too hard, but i'm pretty sure you're not gonna stop that, lol. Good excercise for them is standing on a ledge of somesort or step, hanging your heels down and then raise your heels up by standing on your toes. Not playing on cement all the time helps, cement takes bearily any shock so it goes through your feet to you back.
In general, grade I pain refers to muscle soreness and minor soft-tissue inflammation.
Grade II pain is viewed as a mild or moderate soft tissue inflammation.
Grade III pain invlovles significant soft tissue inflammation , and bone microfractures.
Grade IV pain defines an actual stress fracture.
Treatment generally consists of ice packs or ice massage, physician prescribed nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs, rest, and gradual stretching and strengthening excercises for the entire lower leg.
The worse the pain, the less active involvement you should put into footbag. Also, if you have flat feet, the pain will more than likely be more in the inside part of your shin. To help, you would need a good insole that would raise your arch up to take stress off the inside of your leg. Resting and toning down and lowering the amount of impact helps significantly, so take it easy when you can.

hmm.. of course these are my opinions-likely to be just as flawed as anyone else's. um, really I guess you should assume everyone's speaking out of some external influence. Belive in whatever makes sense to you.:JTHM

It wasn't like a full dislocation, or anything. Just that I was trying atomic sets without warming up properly. Felt a pop in the hip as a result. I went to a chiropractor a few years back (before footbag) and was told my hip was already out... That and my back and neck. So I guess I just agrovated the hip or something. It's better now, though.
