yo gehz! sorry for the hold up on any info, but as of right now nothins goin down in philly for this winter. i might put somethin little together in the spring but, i just dont have the motivation for that sort of thing right now. all about CHI TOWN BABY!!!

oh and if anyone local wants to take over chilly philly, DO IT! you cuh make it your lil friend and hang out with it, and peeehhht it, and feed it carroooottts.

I have to be rude and say I think it sucks you throw away one of the coolest events of footbag like that even tough you are the one responsible for the past ones..

Chicago's cool, but unlikely for many kickbaggers. Should I attempt to get some space in SC, PA? Pipenberg could make it, I'd bet. Anybody else have any ideas?

Quite sad that such a tournament won't happen .

I never was at a tournament in the US but I thought Chilly Philly , Funtastiks and CSS are the main events there.

I hope this kind of thing won't take over to Europe .

i agree with you dude, but we still buds

. i hated to see it not happen mainly cause of all the momentum it had, and i know if theres a chilly philly 07 a lot of that momentum will be gone, but, ive made up my mind.

mightymic! if you want bro i can hook you up with like allllll the info you need. phone numbers of tons of venues in philly (though they are EXPENSIVE) hotels, and just read the thing about running tournies on philly-footworks.com. thats all i had to run CP last year, sooo. if youre really interested just PM me.

It does suck when an event dies. But it also sucks that the responsibility has to fall on so few people. I was the only person helping Philly for years, and then Josh stepped up last year (which was awesome). But just because he sacrificed last year (because running a big tourney *is* a sacrifice) doesn't mean he should automatically be on the hook to do it again this year.

To all the "whiners" (half smiling while I say it) out there, get off your asses and run your own event.

well i read the Philly Footworks front to back guide, it seems to be a lot of work getting the sponsors and what not, would this be feasible to try and do before the time CP usually takes place?

mightymic: i did it last year with no sponsors. you just need to have some money to put up. you'll most likely make your money back on charging entrance fees. just dont make clothing, thats where you lose. (unless you get paid in advance)

also, you cuh do it in like february. it doesnt necessarily HAVE to be near new years.

Hope this isn't too off topic...

Much respect and props go out to E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E thats ever held a footbag jam or event. Your hard work, time and effort IS appreciated, even though it's not always said.
