Good to hear that you'r are back in the game Mike :)

6. November 2005
Solo session in the cave.
30 Infinities once more finally
29 contacts of Butterflies and Osis
some Spinning clipper
Butterfly > Whirl > Drifter > Whirl > Drifter (drop) I missed the last Drifter everytime... maybe I'll hit that combo today in the gym.
After all it was a nice session and it felt good just me and the bag.

This session was the blast! (can you say that? :))
IMHO opinon everbody played well! Beatrice did Ducking Butterfly midrun (set from toe) and she started to use Osis in her runs!!! She recently improves slowly but steadily. Daryl taught her how Quantum set works and he said she even had some good attempts.
Bjoern and Daryl will speak for themselves... :)

I felt really good and on fire all the time and no drop could cloud my mental game. I hit several guiltless runs I was totally satisfied with, one even with ~ 25 contacts.
And one run started with Dimwalk > PDX Dlo. I just started to do PDX DLO's a few days ago and after around 18 contacts I went for PDX DLO bsos but droped :D I also set a new Pixie Legover record 17 x ... 20x here I come + I hit several links midrun that were new for me. But I failed to hit Stepping ss Legover > ss Butterfly 10x like Jochen Bauer wrote in his blog (thx for the drill Jochen). I got 6x on my strong and 4x on my flipside but I really like the drill and will continue till I smash Jochens record ;)

7th November 2005

Monday Gym Session.

Players:
Max
Bea
Daryl
Bjoern

and a reporter from Bayrischer Rundfunk, who is doing a radiofeature
on footbag (Tune in to Bayern 5 on sunday, 7:15 and 17:35)
He hit 8-9 alternating toe stalls and hit toe set clipper (with Daryl's G-Units)...

For me the session was not that good. I could have played well, but
everybody was so on fire, that I pushed myself too hard trying to
keep up with the boys. I haven't played for 2 weeks, and normally
I can play once a week due to my knee. Daryl and Max however are
playing regularly, no wonder they are exploding! I have to stick to my
game and take it more easily.

My stepping went good, couldn't do flip much because of my knee.
Hit stepping same mirage bsos (never do that trick really).

I hit 10 unique guiltless, and I tried for more, but couldn't. I guess
I know I can do more if I try more often.

One new trick for me though:

Alpine Magellan (Pixie Weaving Legover)

I'll have to take another footbag break, due to my everlasting injuries;
next week Physio Therapy starts, this time for my fucked up knee,
and afterwards I'll have acupuncture. Oh well. Must swim more often.

November 14th 2005

Monday Gym Session.

Players: Bea, Max, Daryl, me.

This was probably my last session for a while, due to my knee. I'm a bit
frustrated, since I'm so addicted to footbag I wonder what I shall do without playing the next months. Watch videos, and see my club
progress while I sit on my fat ass at home :/ Naw, I'll try to swim as much
as possible, strengthening my knee muscles. Physio Therapy starts tomorrow,
and I'll have acupuncture sessions soon, too.

Here's what I hit:

Parkwalk>Pdx DLO
4 Ducking Butterflies

and more, but I will comment tomorrow.

France was crazy !!! ! Insert Reni's madface here ! :D

Woah, i 'm back already...yesterday i was shredding with Silwan, Manu,
Hanna and Serge, watching Yves krushing the comp, witnessing the
highest level of shred that i've semi concsiously saw so far, all in
a different city, that i hadnt been to yet.

I try to write a short report on it 2morra, when my faculties are all in -
i-i-i-i-in t-tact.

Fuck yeah ! Today, after a having a weird time, trying to digest the
trip and my quasi arrival in the real world, i simply had to meet the
gang for a bit of kicky sac .
When i started with infinities, and sharing glimpses of the madness that
was Paris, i more and more realized what the last two days did to me :
they made me a confident, clear headed sauvage - it also made me
realize that shred mania will have wait a good long time for reaching its
peak :D

Since i was late and Bea was already leaving, i quickly warmed up with butter>ss butter>pdx mir and other basics, and i really liked doing that .
Runs and moves and drills were on.
I felt everything that i've learnt/hit in the last two weeks was suddenly
kicking in, no holding back.
All the crap aside, i was hitting some good combos today - good meaning
good for my game in the long run, like bops and toe shuffle :

9 contacts of butter>ss butter>pdx mir bs
10 contacts of butter>p mir
18 cons of clip>ss clip>alt clip
a run with 13 bops

ss smear>plo>smear>plo>run
plo>plo>smear>magellan>dimwalk
dlo>symp mir>smear>smear>run, dlo>plo other side

ducking mirage>tap bsos, in a hectic string
blur>butter>blur>butter
dimwalk bsos - not new, but exciting, during a short run

clip set symp mir> plo/smear bs
spinning butterfly - 1.try ( well, today...)

ducking clip>pdx dlo 8)

tap>butter>p mir>smear>ducking mirage> :x mirage>dlo>butter>p mir>
rake>plo>smear>symp mir
that clearly made "run of the day" :)

For the selfish me, it was a good session - toe shuffle as well as bops,
being relaxed and in the best of company, even though it wasnt 4 long .

Heal up nicely, ya hear me Mr Bjoern !?

14 November 2005
I was't too keen on playing that day because of the long long day at the university. The day was quite sucessful cause we did a very good presentation and the mark will appear in my dipoma, but after 10 hours of input I had a headache and was sick. But on the way to the gym the fresh air kinda healed me, and seeing my sister doing well with her Infinities brought my shred appetite back :)
Beatrice had some trouble with her shins, but I bought a salve a while ago and it's really effective! It stinks like tar but it works :D Although she was playing good again she hit Butterfly > Osis > Far Butterfly > Infinitiy > Osis > Far Butterfly. Her Osis are getting better evertime she plays.
I was satisfied with my game wich is a good feeling and shows that I start to keep my mental game under control. Let's all hope that Bjoerns knee is healing quickly! Daryl showing up out of nowhere really pushed me again and we challenged each other to hit new combos. That led to a 17 -18 contacts guiltless run with Dimwalk > PDX DLO bsos! And many other good stuff. And Daryl hit the most beautiful flip pixie set (plo) midrun ever :)
Maybe I will play again today. Give me a call Daryl!!!

We had another good session today, although everybody was rather
sore and shattered .
Sweat.disorientation.bops - and some good guiltless combos, i dont
think i can call them runs yet, since i never hit more then ten guiltless,
bops asisde .
But i did all of that again today, even in that state, and i also had a
lil progress on new links.
After we did, say, 30 minutes of kicks and bop runs, we had a nice
circle going - the energy was good, and evrybody was either playing
well or too tired act pissy about it :P

butter>butter>butter>ducking clip>pdx mir>butter>ss butter>pdx mir>
butter>ss butter>pdx mir>far osis
:D

ripwalk bsos

butter>sidewalk>p mir - i'm starting to get a grip here...:)

dimwalk>pdx mir>dimwalk>(pdx mir) bs - gets easier everyday

plo>butter>step legover>ducking mirage>(plo>butter) bs -
since i wasnt able to bsos that shit on either side, this combo
has been hit at least a lot 8O

i was also hitting merkon bs, spinning clipper>p mir bs, and butter>
gyro mir>plo on one, ducking>clip>gyro mir>smear on the other :)
gotta work on spins and integrate them in runs more...

butter>shmoe>butter>ss butter>p mir>plo>ducking mir>smear>butter>p mir>pixie..handcatch

Bea also had some nice guiltless runs, with her infamous pixies,
solid(ss)butters and stuff like far osis>far osis and ripwalks midstring !

Da Max und i, mia dean uns grod so richtig ostachln, das a freud is
mei liaba ! But i miss Bjoern and Markus - the stylers i call
them - definitly our teams better half, so to speak !

Props for Rip>Rip and nice long guiltless runs Daryl!!!!

Max: What about Dimwalk>Diving Butterfly>Pdx. Double Legover (maby its a challenge for you?) I think its very onesided but you can try it on both sides  .

I can only play on weekend. I have to work every day till 18:00 minimum =(...
But on sunday I´d like to hit pdx. Torque and a new 444 Combo. Lets look...

Best wishes to u Bjoern. and please send me a pm with your handy number.

Greetings

He Oida ! Wann shreddn wir mal wieder zusammen ? Did you hit pdx torque
and your new 4-4-4 combo yesterday, if so, let us know :P
And thanks again for the propage, i try to live up for it and shred my ass
of in..ummm.lets see 4 hrs :D !

On saturday i had a solo session at Olympia, and i found out some useful
things concerning my game and learning process and so on.

I kinda learned footbag from the "wrong" end - after having learned
the two adds, i concentrated more on sets and concepts, instaed of working on downtime core 3 adds and BOPs .
Thats why my plo record is three times higher than my osis record and
i'm more likely to hit tripwalk than a nice looking whirl  .

Since a couple of sessions i'm trying to change some of that, and
i guess it works - actually bops are fun, it just took me a while to
admit that.

This session i was starting with consecutive and alternating clippers,
and after that i was doing various bop drills mixed with a little
spinning and ducking for almost an hour.
Then, the guiltless combos - instead of trying hard combos, and
forgetting about after hitting them once each side, i started to
drill the really useful ones like butter>p mir>smear .
The result is obvious - more contacts, better form, more bothsidedness
and a very nice feeling while doing so .
But i also hit some new stuff too :

stepping clipper>symp mir bs

stepping clipper>stepping legover bs

magellan>plo>magellan>plo

butter>p mir>dlo>butter>p mir>dlo>butter>p mir>drop

ducking clip>ducking clip>butter>ss butter>p mir>butter>butter>ss butter

ducking clip>butter>p mir>smear>butter>p mir>smear>ducking mirage

plo>plo>smear>plo>smear>plo

ducking pdx mirage bsos 8)

flip witch doctor
- it wasnt nice to look at, but the dexes were there

Hail Theoden King :P !

Todays gym shred was both exhausting and refreshing - it was quite
hard to stay focused and powerful, cuz the after effects
from saturdays vodka madness were still ragin thru my system...

I was there first and i was very excited to play, even more than i
normally am .
Then i had my usual warm up proceedure - kicks, consecutive
and alternating clippers and butter>pdx mirage rpt and like on
saturday, my left foot clipper was acting up :x and it took some 7
attempts to get past thirty . Butters werent too on either, and i really
had to persuade myself to keep going, eagerly waiting for the rest
of the team to get some inspiration .

Now we get to the refreshing part : Max came in with Nora, a
shredder from Vienna, who got an internship in a munich company.
Its always so kool to play with people from other placesand she
will stay here until april .
It was a shame that Bea couldnt play today, cuz i know that she
very much likes to shred with other girls - well, next session :P

We kicked together for a while, then moved on to easy, stamina
building tiltless and pretty soon, Max and me were busting some agressive shit .
Nora was hitting really good whirls, some spinning clippers and
ripwalks, her game looks so smoove, especially when shredding
next to Max and me .
Although my runs werent great at all today, i had a lot of fun, and
some good shit was being hit :

18 alternating clipper - one more than my old record .

15 contacts of butter>pdx mirage - yay !

butter>shmoe>smear>run on my flip

ingyro mirage and a couple of wonton legover - i've only hit
them once until now...my quantum finally came back to me
and i hit toe blur>plo>run again...

symp mir>plo bs, midstring, different runs

smear>plo>butter>gyro mir>run

butter>pdx mirage>smog>handcatch, cuz i was too happy to continue...

phoenix> run

wonton butterfly :D

at the end of our session, we all worked on our spins, thanks to Nora -
i hope we will keep that up, spinning is such a kool concept !

i hope to shred soon again - footbag is more fun than ever :P

Yeah the session was really nice, no great runs but a lot of spinning :)
I did Dimwalk > Blur > Dimwalk > Blur and it felt easy, the other combo I'd like to remember was Ducking Clipper > Spinning Clipper > Ducking Clipper > Spinning Clipper. A new goal is to start to use ducks and spins midrun.
