Favorite books?

I was bored and just wanted to know everyone's favorite books.. Feel free to post. Heres a summarized list of my favorites:

The Lord of the rings trilogy (including the hobbit)
His Dark materials series

Harry Potter ( I don't enjoy the first two anymore..)
The Chronicles of Narnia
Hamlet (almost my final favorite)
Shakespeare's Library (I haven't read every book but pretty much all..)
Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy (I only read the first two books which this counts for..)
Dune (first book, since I only read that..)
And much much much more..just too tired to post and people would get bored of it.

Inferno
cant remember the author. spin-off of dante's



i will just EDIT-- this post instead of posting needlessly. Dante did write the original work (the Inferno, or simply Hell is only the first of the 3 works in the series...also was pergatorium and paradisio (sp)), called The Divine Comedy. However, Inferno is a contemporary spin-off of Dante's original work, adding lots of recent concepts. great read.

I started reading The Monk (by Matthew Lewis) for school, and it's surprisingly REALLY really good! I've also almost finished reading "As I Lay Dying", in the meantime, and I'm not a big fan of the story at all, but the way it's written is SOOOOO inspirational. If I ever write a story I will totally take this into consideration -- it's like chapter divisions based on the perspectives of different characters. It's really really good.

I also liked James Clavell's "Asian Saga Series".

I don't read much, but out of what I have read, I liked reading Frankenstein, The Island of the Blue Dolphins, and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

My friend let me borrow Eldest (second part of Eragon..) I find it really good. I'm a fan about anything with Dragons.. It's full of it I just added like 10 more books to my reading list, can't wait to read a few of 'em though. One added favorite is the "Wind in the Willows", "The Red pony" (other ones like the old man and the sea), "Life of Pi", and the original, original "Hunchback of Notre Dame". I have like a 90 year old version of that, I love it . It's falling apart though.. I have like a million books I'd love to post but I'd get bored

I just finished "Eldest", second part of "Eragon". Definitly another favorite added to my list I've been reading a lot lately. Currently I'm writing a short story, maybe I'll post it? I really love to read and write. It's my passion, along with footbag. I only got to shred for 10 minutes today I've been gone all day. Tomorrow I'll have to work non-stop.. I hope everyone had a good day.
