Super Mario 3 World Record!

Post by Sidi||TOFU »

For anyone who has played this game even once, they will be able to fully appreciate the world record for finishing this game....11 minutes! Watch this guy completely kick the shit out of Bowser in record time. Also enjoy the flurry of 1-ups!

I think I've saw that somewhere but I'm still impressed.

You gotta be a real n0life to be capable for something like that, but that was a flawless game. That guy sure has some nerves.

It wasnt done in real-time, he admitted to using an emulator and going frame by frame to do it.

Agree about the no-life thing.

Agreed no life... but still impressive. seen this on another website. What is more amazing is seeing mario 64 beat in less than 20? minutes... Some people are just damn good at what they do... Inspiring to see such a devotion to one cause, to be the best at one thing!

As for the guy using an emulator or anything like that I don't think so, but he could be. To beat the game so quickly he does use some ... shortcuts... i guess is what you would call them. These shortcuts are pretty hard to pull off, and just shows some deep knowledge about the game. The first 10 minutes of this is really intense, and the guy shows some really insane abilities in the game.

ditto. That was an exhilarating 20 minutes! As I began watched the video, 2 other guys from my floor huddled around me and we all stared in awe at the majesty that was Super Mario 64... beaten in 20 minutes.

Oh, and I can't get the 13 minute Super Mario 3 video to work. Anyone able to help? :wink:

awesome, thanks aric. that was cool. that guy is ridiculous. I loved how he used the lava to burn himself and launch himself to the important parts of the level. His techniques were so cool! he had that dialed.

The SMB 3 clip is a fake. If you check out real close on one of the ships, he gets hit by a cannonball and nothing happens. It's an amusing clip, but it's not authentic.

Haha that SMB64 clip was kinda sweet. I liked how he launched himself off the sides of the slide and all those secret wall shortcuts...Crazy!

i knew about all the secrets that this guy used. but im not sure its real either...a few times it looked suspiciously like various projectiles flew straight through him, like sam said.

there is such thing for like almost every classic game, they are called Time attack or speed runs
do a research on google and you will find some sites with massive amounts of such video
nothing is real time, all keys are logged to make perfect movements, then the game is started with all the keys and the gameplay is recorded..
