Zeke, Reile and I watched this video Sam C. made about New Year's Jam 02-03 randomly while going through clips on Reile's computer. It is such a dope video with great music (as usual).
"...You have to get, really, practice, like eight hours every day. Then you get good level and then you can compete....There is no money, so players are like big family and that is what I -like" -Vasek-
Awesome vid. I think I only got to show up the last day for the event that year, but I still remember having a great time. Wow NYJ in Chicago is gonna rock this year.

hittin' montage: you better believe that's a paddlin'"
juan is one of my favorite players to watch. he's so underground these days. the last time i saw him on video was in a video i made. how lame! he's got such a cool style... i miss when he used to come up here to play with us...
It dont matter what its called if its in Chicago at mccormick place its the same event. Sidenote: Last year we were walikng out of the convention center and the security guard (literally 1 of 20-100, this event is huge) approached me and said hi and then commented that I had gotten a haircut. Mind you, this was the 1st day of the event, how could he know I had a haircut the day before? The security actually remembered me from watching us shred for the previous years
In fact, I don't know if it ever was called New Year's Jam officially. The first year it was called Millenium Jam. We (CIC and everyone else, but Scott maybe) always call it New Year's Jam though.
