Okay. First I add soap and gently massage it all over the bag. Then I rinse, gently squeezing the bag to make sure all the dirt comes out. When the water runs clear, then I fill up the basin with water, and massage Snuggle liquid fabric softener on it. Then I have a quiet moment with just me and my bag, and condition it's panels while I sing 'Kumbaya'. I the put it in the water to sit for a few minutes while I contemplate, life, footbag, and the universe. I mean, what does it all mean anyway? After my brief relaxation, I squeeze the rest of the water out and set it on the bathroom window sill to dry.
