What's pogo mean?

symposium stepping set.

very underused because it gets labelled as add-hunting.

I adore pogowalk (symp stepping op butterfly) and yesterday I footed pogo far symple swirl, def a phat move.

Pogo is supposed to be a symposium stepping set.

Apparently new players consider pogo synonymous with a slurred blur set. We had a discussion here a few months ago where I was livid that newbs had rewritten the history of the concept to fit their crappy version of a symposium stepping set.

When done cleanly, and in the intention of the original definition of Pogo, it's a very cool concept. When done according to the newbs definition of Pogo, it's a steamy pile of shit.

When you hear people talking about their Pogo tricks, make sure to understand their definition, and modify your props accordingly.

modify ur props? that's weird - shouldn't u see if it's a prop-worthy trick by how hard/good/clean it looks? I recently came under the impression that pogo was a symposium blur, I'm glad I read this.

If it's under used it's not because of add-hunting, I'd say it's becuase of lack of style

I've been thinking and I can't figure out what a symposium stepping set would be. The only thing I can think of would be clip>same in. But then that would simply be a mirage... So, can someone tell me in job notation... That's right, omg, the switch guy is actually taking time to learn jobs, omg, omg. Heh.

I'm trying to figure this out... stepping would be, clip>op in dex>whatever. So, syposium.... Uhhh, yea, I can only think of clip>same in dex... Unless it's just stepping set to a syposium trick... Like say,
clip>op in>op out>same out>clip. Would that be a pogo barfly? Shit, I'm confusing my self with other tricks... Ok, I just need to stop and let someone tell me.

when you said clipper>same in thats a quasi set your doing the dex with the op leg and not the setting leg

Switch, I think you are possibly confusing symposium with paradox, just based on the description you gave.

To make the stepping set 'symposium' you set from your clipper foot and do the dex with the opposite leg without putting down the setting foot. So it is clipper set same side symposium miraging set.

Yes, I realized I had confused the two approximately 15 minutes later, but by then, I was already gone and out of the house... By the time I had gotten home, I had completely forgotten about the post.
