Coolest shoes

Post by Guest_2 »

Who has the coolest shred kicks?

I like sick, inventive and personal mods

From unique eyelet slashing to marker mods

As of today, my newest favorite is Joe Kulacz

Mosher's are right up there as #2, but I really dig the mega toe on Joe's Lavers.

What do you think?

Who has the most hein shred kicks?

I was watching a Finnish shred video the other day, and it looked like one kicker had gone over their lavers with a highlighter (you know, the flourescent yellow markers). I think it was Riku. Good thinking, Riku. I thought that was a good idea. Most of us wear really dingy dull looking footwear and play with dull dirty footbags. It just doesn't present the gear of footbag in such a great way. About the best thing you can say about most of our equipment is that its "understated." I've been on this kick lately (pardon the pun) that we could enhance the image of the sport by enhancing the appearance of the equipment (the bicycles that pro bikers ride are pretty flashy looking, the outfits that pro-skiers wear are brightly colored, but our gear is always plain, dull, and dirty. Who would even want to play with this stuff when they see it?). I was mostly thinking about the bags, since freestyle can look pretty poor on film. Depending on the quality of the footage and the colors of the background/bag/clothes, sometimes is very difficult to even see the footbag, and I figured that brighter colored bags would make us easier to watch on the small screen. I hadn't really thought about the shoes that much, though. Nice job, Riku. Maybe your shoes could use a few black stipes to contrast that bright yellow though? Or perhaps just a black outline around the edges?

I think those were the coolest shoes I ever had.

When they got all cracked and faded I eventually painted them all white with red soles.. and then all black entirely.

Now they are some cracked ugly combo of all of the above.

I can see myself having skulls on my next climas.

I love my new lavers :D
I used green and yellow highlighters.
And did the opposite colouring for the other shoe.
You can't really notice the green if you don't look really close.
And I also bought new laces. Green and yellow.
I might do the black outline around the edges. That would look cool.
Thanks for the tip.

I think that really new, bright and clean basic Lavers look really nice.
But after one session they aren't so cool anymore...

Eric from France loves (loved?) shoe modding. He's the guy responsible for a host of t-shirts you might have seen like the footbaguette, the shredi, the Empire Spikes Back, Spikerman, the punkish wifebeater with Steve G on the front and many others.

Anyway he once made a super blinging pair of lavers in a very proffessionnal looking LEOPARD PRINT. I can't remember who bought them in the end, but they are by far the uniquest pair of footbag shoes I have ever seen.

that funny that jon mentioned about footbaggers not wearing presentable footwear. I was playing the other day and my freind asked me if I was too poor to afford laver anymore, because I wear sandels with shoe laces tied around the back of my ankles. I have had a lot of people ask me about the shoes I wear, and they seem to think they were grungy looky being all cut up and what not. The other problem is, is that when they are clean, they are usually new. And when they are new, they suck! I used to think the dirt on the cloth added to how good the shoes performed.

I don't know if he still has them but Josh Digges showed me these wicked pair of Lavers that someone had someone made for him with graffitti style art all around it. They are extremely sick....tres street-core haha :)
