Map of the World's Footbag Players-JOIN!!

Post by TwistedTorque »

Frappr is allowing groups to setup a google map that will show where all of its members are. I think we should get as many people on it that play footbag as possible. It's a really quick sign up. At the very least, check it out.

This is such a good idea! It's really easy everyone should add themselves.

I guess your city is unrealistic as your name. :o

What the...? If it recognizes Mouhijärvi, a tiny municipality in Finland with 3000 inhabitants, it'll recognize Jamiehickingbothamville too for sure.

It didn't recognize my city. Mississauga. It's like, the second biggest city in the GTA I think. Or some crap. It's pretty big.

wow! that's really cool! i hope that soon every footbagger will sign up. :D
what's strange though is that since mr.alex is also from vienna, he's the only one to show up if you click at vienna. :?:

You know, the US Government hasn't given me my zip code yet.
I didn't know I had one.

....

EDIT: I've now got two thingies on there. One is me in Toronto, with no picture. It's not really where I live, but Mississauga apparently doesn't register (Brantford does, but Sauga doesn't? Weird.) Anyway, I wanted to add a picture to it but I couldn't. So I figured I'd add a new one again or something...with a picture..but I changed the location to Mississauga...or I thought I did. It put down 'Mississauga Beaches' which is nowhere near where I live at all. I dunno, whoever's admin on it, delete the one with the picture.

Does anyone know anything about Google Maps? Because as cool as this site is, it's not as cool as it could be. If someone knew the API and had the time, they could pretty easily auto-generate a complete map from the club listing on .org. It could then be integrated right into the clubs homepage and that would really be something!

Sorry for that! You have to zoom into Vienna to see that there are 2 registered players :?
