Guild Wars

Post by HooD »

Horrible me bought Guild Wars online. It's a MMPORG, but it has no monthly fees, it's also gotten a lot of good reviews. If anyone else has it, or is thinking about buying it, I'd love to play with you, start up a small party of footbaggers.

I was thinking of getting it, but I'm kind of scared of getting sucked into MMORPG's. I like the real world too :D . Maybe I'll give in and buy it...

I'm the same way, I understand the whole potential sucked in thing. I'm going to attempt to juggle footbag, CS:S, guild wars, school, work, and a life. So far it's hard to do, but doable !

90 bucks? Isn't it only 50, and like 75 or something for the special edition version?

I just purchased it online for $50.00 and D/L'd the client. I pretty much payed for the CD-Key to unlock a account. The client file size is tiny, it's a small zip file that's like 78k/b...o_o , from there you can connect into the game and everything will patch itself.

Maybe he is talking about ausie dollars which doesn't mean 90 bux over here.

i got guild wars a few weeks ago when I only had like $65 to my name (and the game cost me 60). It has been well worth it though. For some reason I never get sucked into mmorpgs. This one is fun to play, it feels more like diablo.

I have bought it not too long ago and it's always much fun to run around somewhere and slaughter huge numbers of some freaking monsters :D

I think the game is really really good and if you consider that there is no monthly fee it's actually updated a lot of times...I m still playing it so if anyone wants to join me someday, here are the names of my characters:

Never Ending Pain

Femina Sacrissima

Torn The Slayer

Sagittae Mortales

but still shredding is so much more fun :D
