Shredmads

Post by mentor »

Here is a new video with Mads Neuhard

This swift production is made from max ½ filming. It was a short session, which took place in cold but beautiful surroundings. I froze my ass off filming and the camera was acting weird.

This video includes beautiful pictures, lot of atmosphere, “the” & styli tricks as well as a juicy tracks to match. The intro track is the theme from Shaft. The second track is unknown in my book, and I could be nice with some help in the process of identifying it.

:?:

Edit: The video has an error and will be posted again tomorow! Sorry

Here we go again!

Sorry for the waiting time, but I had to edit a new video. I don’t know if anybody got to see the first version, since it was only uploaded & posted for 20 minutes. I also changed the name of the topic from Neuhard@2C-35,2F to Shredmads

I totally missed some cool footage, which I now have included and the final version. No doubt that the result is far better in this production. It is slightly longer (1/2 minute) and a bit more balanced this time. Please turn the volume to max level!

I really enjoyed that video. I can sympathise with the cold... temperatures are similar over in London at the moment. Thanks for sharing.

Nice vid.

Mads neuhard is a stylie shredder, i really enjoy his shred

excellent work on the filming. It was mad mads.

I can never appreciate how cold it is in denmark, here in rocky it is very hot usually, so i dare say i would shrivel in such cold weather in denmark, much respect.

Just wondering why he bails to clipper sometimes. Is it his preference, or does mads neuhard find it easier to hit certain moves from clipper.

Props on the vid.

That is one of the famous "Orange" bags from the Euros04 telemarketing/footbag campaign. We insisted to provide 5000 quality sandbags to hand out, instead of 20.000 useless footbag replicas. This 8 panel sandbag can be used for shred and routines alike. Ryan Mulroney used them all the time when he performed in the streets of Copenhagen so I guess the marketing company got a free product placement right there.
Just wondering why he bails to clipper sometimes. Is it his preference, or does mads neuhard find it easier to hit certain moves from clipper.
I think it is more polite to let Mads answer this question him self even though I pretty much know the answer.

Thanks for your replies guys.

Nice video, as usual. I really liked the shadow shreds. Those last two posts just confused me...when Anthony was talking about Mads, and then Mads said he'll leave it up to him to answer...I didn't know there were two of them.

Once again the cool BIKE makes an appearance! Yeah, the bright red/orange bag was awesome, really easy to see. I think that's the problem with a lot of vids is not being able to see the bag well. Filming was awesome. Man you've really got that sun flare effect down pat. Shadow shredding was intense too. One small critique was that blur effect in the beginning. My eyes are still trying to adjust from that.

Shred was sweet too. Man they've got an awesome crew out there. Really solid, controlled style. Good Job Madsx2!

Ha ha ha…two times Mads can be a little confusing from time to time. Actually we and a third Mads started a footbag company called TRIO. :D http://www.footbags.dk

One small critique was that blur effect in the beginning. My eyes are still trying to adjust from that.
As I initially mentioned the camera was acting weird that day. It appears that the camera have got a malfunction, which has fucked up the auto focus. Unfortunately a lot of cool clips from that day were totally out of focus and some only partly.

I choose to use one of them in the intro anyways. Sometimes out of focus shots are really cool if they are used correct which often means that it is done on purpose. Out of focus is a classic effect in the end or the beginning of a clip. Typically they have duration of no more than 2-5 seconds.

The clip I used was way too long a period out of focus. In my initial scarcity of footage, it was used in an attempt of creating some sort of “artistic” intro. In the first version of the video, the intro was much shorter and it was the only clip with Mads Neuhard. Even though I will always try to argue for new and creative editing, I have to agree with you. The clip also bothers my eyes a bit too much.

The camera will be gone for reparation for a couple of month, so no more new footage from me before next year.

Wow! What an awesome video! I loved it. I thought the intro rocked, and all the editing was so well done. What type of camera do you use? the colours look fantastic.

The shred was great too, so much flow, and control.

Props

^^^Agreed.

Fat heel stall. Fat music. And a shred that's smooth like butter. I love Mads Neuhard's style...as well as both of your guys' first names. Is it pronounced just like it looks? Maaads or Mahds? I know what I'm going to name my first born (God forbid).

I believe the 'd' in Mads is silent (hence Shredmads). The phonetic transcription would be something along the lines of [mäs].
