Choosing ONE video to introduce footbag to someone...

What would it be? Post a link and explain why it would be a good choice.

Mine would be Vasek's Shred30 at Footjam 05

-Vasek makes footbag look REALLY AWESOME. His showmanship is unparallelled by any other player, in my opinion. This video in particular shows how cool and insane this sport really is.
I think this is very important because sometimes footbag can be presented in a way that gets reactions like "that's not a sport" or "footbag is gay". We have all heard it.
But this video is really raw, has an extremely high level of shred, has an underground feel to it, and is in competition format. So it accurately represents the reality of world-class footbag.

-It's short, and a quick download, so it is easy to access.

-It demonstrates how much athleticism footbag takes. There's no denying that it is a real sport after seeing this video.

-The bag may be a little difficult to see at times, but even someone who has never seen footbag before can understand what is going on, and of course be totally blown away.

Yeah I was going to say The Move because it's so amazing, but also Sick03 because of how great it is too and for the non-shred stuff (comp, Sunil sillyness, Vasek extras, foursquare, player diversity) I used to The Move to show my girlfriend's dad, I used Eric's Vasek100bars for work (and my own videos too due to accessability (I know where my own stuff is -- not necessarily videos of me though; I used a video of Andrew most recently)).

chris, this is exactly the video i show everyone. i have that page bookmarked and whenever i show anyone footbag it's always that vasek vid.

i started a similar thread a while ago with nearly no replies...

an important aspect would be good use of slow motion in a video.
someone who has never seen footbag just can't understand or
differentiate between the motions.

i gave my physio therapist a copy of Evan Lovely's SJFF04 video -
top shred, good slowmos and variety.

I agree with what you said about Vasek. And I'm flattered, because
you mentioned the raw feel of the shred30 vid, as I was the one
filming it

I definitlay agree with chris on that vasek shred 30. Don't get me wrong, Evan lovely's videos are excellent, but they are quite long, which is a treat for any footbagger, but a non-footbagger could get boring. the SJFF04 video is quite long. i douht there are many non-footbaggers who can sit through the whole thing.

I tend to go with Buda's Best as the image quality is way up there and the editing makes it easy to follow for non-footbaggers. The reaction I get the most from non-footbaggers when watching live play or videos is "I can't even see the bag!"

As for the "it's not a sport" comment, then I show a Vasek semi-final where he's shredding it up. You'd have to be a complete moron to think that two minutes of cardio intensive jumping around is not sport-worthy.

I cannot pick one, and you can't make me!! To be honest, a compilation vid is something I would show to introduce someone. Maybe a cool shred compilation with lots of slow downs. And maybe even call some of the move names during the slow downs.

If I had to pick 2, it would be 100 bars, and any one of Jorden's Session Vids, Sinister being my favorite. I like those Session vids cuz you can see Jorden up close, it's got decent music, and you can see the bag and his moves fairly well. Also it's got the slow down with move name that I like. The advantage 100 bars has is it reminds me of a true old-school vid, with plenty of intense shred in different places. And Vasek looks really young in it, so it makes it appealing to young kids getting into sports.

So controlled it is amazing...probably the most controlled run I've ever seen. And it was tripless at that...
