A buddy of mine is purchasing black Lavers, and I wanted to know if this was true. I know red Lavers go faster , but is there a differentiation between colors?
I don't think that difference is very significant though. I think white lavers are the lightest but by less than 10g and 10 grams is probably not going to make the difference between dropping the bag etc.
Ken S told me Honza colours his shoes in black because he believes it makes your head think your feet are smaller, therefore allowing for faster, tighther dexes

Acuatly this is pretty interesting. In advertising, people use different colors because the send certain messages to your head.
Red - Hungry
Yellow - Anxious
Brown - Dependable
Purple - Luxery
Just the ones I remember off hand. Laver colors probably do have a very small effect on how they player plays, but I would have a minimal effect in my opinion.
Another question to throw into the mix, here. I'm thinking about getting a pair of black lavers. Not necessarily for shred though, just for winter wearage. So I won't be modding out the inside canvas or any of that crap, although I'd like to shred in them eventually. The reason why I've written all this, is because I'd like to know if I go for a size 7, like my shred lavers, but don't mod em, will they be tight? My shred lavers were mega tight when I got em (size 7) but after modding out fabric and whatnot, the really loosened up. If I were to go for a 7.5, would it possibly be TOO big and then I'd never be comfortable in them?

hey skippy...get size 7.5..they will feel comfortable w/out modding and then when summer rolls around ur feet will fit in the 7.5's modded comfortably..one question..im trying to get either red or black lavers soon..where r u getting ur black lavers?
There are many different makes of Lavers, it is surprising how they change the design slightly over and over and call it the same thing, seems like a lot of work to put into a shoe that nobody really realises is happening.
I have a pair of red lavers and a pair of green trim bought 2 years apart, my friend has a pair of blue trim and a pair of red bought about 1 year 6 months apart, none of the 4 pairs are identical in design, differances range from thicker soles to different back panel (bit that says rod laver) to differant interior design.
I think Red Lavers have the thickest instep of all the Laver brands, but that's just my opinion from comparing it to my white/navy blue Lavers. :/

Newer lavers are heavier than older lavers. It used to be just the colored lavers, but now the white lavers are also made with harder, heavier soles. I think Adidas moved to cheaper urethane. The heavier lavers are harder on your joints. At this point it's probably better to get G-Units instead of buying new lavers.
