Back in Business

Here's a video I finally managed to finish of my very first session filming with my new camera and the second ever session filming with the new camera. I faced a lot of technical difficulties but managed to produce a video of sorts. There is no editing at all - I just put the clips in in order and stuck some music over the top. I couldn't get the sound to work from my clips and the thing somehow fucked up (or maybe I fucked up ) and some of the clips are missing. There was one clip in particular I was really proud of so I might make that into a 3 second video all of it's own

No where near my best due to still getting used to the g-units - all my runs are still way too short although every time I play with the units I improve so soon I'll be back to my reguarlar length. I still think this is a fairly ok version of about where my game is - at least in terms of the kinds of links and combos I'm hitting. It's funny - a lot of the links I hit in this I hit for the first time 2 months ago - then had the nestle thing and haven't hit them again until now. Actually not a lot - most links are old but getting more consistant. Anyway enough babbling on from me - please comment on this video if you want to see more videos from me online - even if you didn't like it. I at least like to know that people actually watch it. Sorry for the song fucking up at the end

Illusions are something you need though, you could change those Pdx Mirages to Illusions.
Nice Mobius That reminded me that you could do spins and ducks more, I even forgot them while your game is so awesome as it is now. More components will never hurt.

It's good seing some footbage of you again! Those whirr combos were very cool and that HPD at the end was just HUGE.
Funnily enough that mobius at the end felt a little out of place compared with the rest of the vid

edit: Yeah, awesome. It's unfortunate that you lose the bag in the background of the indoors shots sometimes though. Would've liked to see the cleanliness of the whirrs on first glance.

I'll agree with Cod gere, that wide lense / fisheye was a bit TOO much. The overhead shots were good but if you're just sitting the camera down you should give the normal lense a go.

I thought the lens was kinda cool. The whole time I felt like I was holding a snowglobe in my hand, and watching through a portal and seeing somebody shredding. It reminded me of that MC Escher drawing where you see his reflection in the globe he is holding. But yeah, I see what everybody is saying, about how it can be hard to see the dexes sometimes.

I liked the music and the big tricks. Strong whirr looked very good and very easy.

One constructive criticism, which I also told you in person: I'd love to see some longer runs from you. I think there was only 5 or 6 runs on this vid which were over 10 contacts, and none reached 20. If you can hit 11 fearless, you definitely have the requisite talent to average longer runs.

Stoked that you have a good camera now. Hopefully that'll mean you will enter the Online Comps again, and give us video updates on your game periodically!

nice video. You've got quick feet. Seems like your shoes seem kinda big? Are g units typically larger than lavers, or is it the lens? I liked whirr>high plains drifter. High plains drifter I think is much cooler than jani walker, even though there is one less dex.

Also I agree about not using the lens for solo vids - I made this vid as a test for my new camera - not really to impress people. Hence the lack of editing. Thanks for the comments though. I have a bonus vid on its way.

edit: also just watched the vid again and remembered - the point of fish eye lens is not that they look cool - it's that you can play really close to the camera and not worry about getting out of shot. In the indoor shred there are times when I'm less than 1m away from the camera and you can still see all of me. Never needing to worry about if you're in shot or not is very cool (it's 180 degrees so you have to be behind it to not be in shot).

I saw him play in person not so long ago (before he was using G's) and his runs were all good length and intensity. The new shoes would be the only thing hindering his run length but as said in the other topic, more people prefer intense over length.
