I just watched the last RFA video again, 11.06. I thought it was cool that both aric and I hit rubberman. I think it would be AWESOME to have me, aric, and chris all doing rubberman at once, synchronized. That would be sweet. On video, that is. Maybe we can work on it for next time.
Still haven't played in a few days... Tournament's coming together nicely... My legs are enjoying a little break, hopefully I can get them used to playing a lot in a few weeks before the tournament. maybe play for 3 or 4 days straight, then take a few days off right before New Year's.
I hope Jorden can make it!!! I'm so psyched that we have over 30 shredders attending, it would be great if we could get another one of the best players around to make it. I just found out last night that Jon S is coming, which is awesome! He's been one of the people on the scene that I've always looked up to as a player and a person, so it's great that he's coming. I hope the buffalo posse can come as well, Jon's giving them the scoop about it. NYFA's representing too!! awesome!

Went to the pizza place after the bar tonight and asked for a slice, and the chick at the counter is like "you can have this for free, cause you're the hacky sack king. i saw you the other day and blah blah blah...". she obviously wanted my ass, i can't blame her ya know, but at that moment the only pie i was interested in was the kind with pepperoni.
Actually, it was a cheese slice. fucking cheapskate.
But anyway, i've only gotten 1 phone number while shredding and that was like a week before i even had my own phone, and i lost the piece of paper she wrote it on. damn it--man's got needs. So there'd better be lotsa bitches and hoes at this New Years jam, cause the only thing i've got going for me right now besides footbag is the fact that i know all the words to "Shoop", and it's a rare occasion when that's useful. Trust me.
this whole post is just a sign i should get some sleep.
So Greg and I have been shredding hardcore all week. Footbag has been beyond awesome. The only downside is that colin never comes out to kick, and i call/message him every day now. We've been getting an audience of people just hanging out in the lounge watching us almost every time we play, and we have both been playing like never before. duuuude i hit rubberman 2 first try today along with a bunch of other things, and i think a lot of it has to do with the fact that ive been shredding with a Dirtbag for awhile every day. i've lost over 5 lbs in the last couple weeks which is definitely not good, but im working to counter it. goal is to gain 15 by springtime and have a decent upperbody. first step=smoke pot and eat food all the time. step two involves actually working out, so i probably won't get around to doing that. back to step 1. what the hell am i talking about. shut up chris time to go to bed.

haha, definitely a post to remember. Good plans for your future, and good shred. and way to handle the women. That first paragraph is hilarious. Sounds like you should pick a day for a geneseo jam session this spring, and see if you can get some locals to come check it out. I wish I could play every day like you. I wish my leg would heal. I'm going to go stretch it and sing my new song and try and finish it.

last night i played with matt at a dance studio at U of R. it was a really good session, i hit my first 3 toe-fives. alpha atomsmasher, beta atomsmasher, and stampede.
at one point during the session, matt was talking about how it was amazing for people to do vortices (haha plural vortex) back to back, to the effect of "its nuts when people hit vortex>vortex> etc." and i grabbed the bag, flubbed a gyro set, and then hit vortex, which matt said was perfect. it was a funny situation for me to hit my first vortex in (it happens to be my favorite move). i cant really think of much else that i hit besides a couple of good strings and just a really solid feel about my game.
which brings me to todays session. it sucked. for almost the entire time. i just had an off day i suppose but i still hit a few cool things. i hit ducking butterfly>ducking butterfly for the first time, but it was something that was due. 4 consecutive ducking clippers mid-string was cool as well. spinning clipper>ducking clipper midstring.
i felt really shaky, my catches didnt feel solid for almost the whole time.
i tried matts shoes out, they're really nice. i actually was catching the bag comfortably in them. clippers were especially easy, there is something about the design of the clima 1 as opposed to the response that makes it easier to crank your ankle in them.
anyway, i need to start posting here more often. im going to do that. but for now, peace.

Precisely Mos Eisley
Paul's vortex was so good. He did it so easily, it was shameful to me. It was pretty rad, good easy style. At least he couldn't do it again.
I was busting out some good strings, I'm figuring out how to shift my body when doing blurry whirl so I can repeat them easier. I also worked on fairy sets, and gyro is chipping along a bit more at each session. I'm starting to have an easier time hitting gyro mirage bsos, and my spins are tightening up... I almost ended a string with whirlwind the other day! it was closer than I thought it would be. I can't wait to shred again. I want to get flip symp whirling swirl as good as it is on my strong side. Symp whirls are pretty solid both sides, especially after I've warmed them up a little bit. Barraging set hasn't been doing so well, but I can always bust out a few clean ones per session. I think my strength, confidence, and variety are improving. Also, I've been doing dyno instead of osis much more. I can't wait to make another video.
This New Year's Jam is falling together way better than I could have anticipated. It started out as a caffeine-induced brainstorm one day at work, after reading that Chilly was cancelled, and when I didn't get emails back about it for a few days, I gave up on it. Then it just happened! and we got the space for free, and suddenly, all these amazing players are coming to spend new years with me and party and have fun and shred with local drummers! It's really incredible, a Christmas miracle of the highest order
I only wish my little buddy Johnny Suderman could make it. Johnny has a way of hanging out and making me feel better when I'm feeling sad or worn out at footbag tournaments, and I think I could use a little extra Johnny positivity, with all the tournament duties coming up. Plus he shreds extra hard and busts huge. Always a plus. Why Johnny Why?!?! come to my tournament!
At least all my east coast shred buddies will be there. We've built up a LOT of love in our little enclave of the footbag community over the past few years, and we're all going to be together for new years. I can't tell you guys how happy that makes me.
See you all soon, I'll post the logo later!! what color t-shirts should we do? I'm thinking a vibrant, but not light or pastel, blue. Like, Royal Blue is the color, I think. Or Red. thanks to Damn Skippy for putting the logo together!!!!

hey everyone,
all RFA members and friends possible and just people you know who like Red Bull should come to the RFA session at 2 on Sunday at Clark Gym. One of you RIT students should look into the gym's schedule and see if it's reserved, who is going to take that job? if it is, we'll have to move it to the fireside lounge, and I'd like to know about this ahead of time because...
the Red Bull promo team is going to come to our session and give out Red Bulls and check it out and see what they think of our club. They might want to use us for area promotions in the future. Please come out and represent how awesome footbag is for these people. let's have a good time and bust some good tricks.

It looks like Clark is open.. but that is always subject to change, and Campus Safety has been anal and locking random buildings lately..
I went ahead and sent a form to reserve Fireside lounge from 2-6, so hopefully that goes through fine and we will have the whole room to ourselves. If this goes down, hopefully it will open the RFA and footbag to some new resources and opportunities. Good job Matt coordinating this!

A revelation just came to me, and i realised that this would be the best place for this hahaha.
Ill bein Rochester all day the 20th. my first destination is the University of Rochester. Chris said it would be cool to shred at the University, and all the students will be gone for winter break exceopt for the students taking a certain Chem course. My friend said she'd let me borrow her swipe card, so we could potentially get into all the buildings on campus
do you guys have a better spot in rochester? also, what time is good for all of you?
assuming you do wanna have a session

oh my god! That sounds like an incredible opportunity with the Red Bull thing. What kinds of future promotions would they consider doing? Like. . . would they notify you if there was some other sporting event they were sponsoring or something and they would invite you to come and shred or do demos? Too cool. You know I'd be there if I weren't like 3 and a half hours away
. Anyway, yeah, I expect to see a huge post after that session. Nice work
