Okay, Folks. I found a hotel with a good rate that is just a few blocks from the event site and just a few minutes drive from my house. So, that will keep everything really centrally located. I was looking at another hotel that was a bit cheaper, but it was farther away, and a lot of the reviews mentioned bedbugs, so... enough of that place.

The East Avenue Inn is located at 384 East Avenue, Rochester NY. Their phone number is 585-325-5010. The rooms are $89 a night for 2 beds, $79 a night for one bed. They said they're filling up fast for New Year's Eve (probably because of the great downtown location), so we need to act fast. If there will be need for 10 OR MORE ROOMS, we can get a $10 discount on the rooms, so please post if you'll be wanting a hotel room so we can see if I need to organize. If I don't get those 10 responses in the next day or two, I'll leave it up to you all to make the calls yourselves and get the rooms.

Pat, I haven't heard anything from anyone in the ministry, why don't you guys come as a group? I'd love to have The Major and Outsider there representing, along with the rest of you guys. This really seems like the kind of event that you guys would want to get out to... Drums, hippies, all night party, and, oh yeah, FOOTBAG!!! you guys should be here!!!

Chris (and others),

the thing is, you can't take out a room "towards" the 10, they all have to be blocked aside at once. I haven't heard from anyone else about needing a hotel room (although I'm SURE there will be others needing it), so I think we should move forward with the prices as they stand, instead of waiting for 10 rooms to be spoken for.

Folks, the people at the hotel told me that they're booking their rooms quickly. Mike Anello and I have pledged to put up as many people as we can for this event, but I'm hoping that we're going to have a lot of attendees, and consequently, not enough room at our houses. PLEASE book your hotel room now so we can have all the hotel people in one place.

Can't wait! Red Bull is quite interested, and I'm pretty sure we're going to be able to work something out, although the date of the tournament might much things up a bit. We'll see. See you guys on New Year's Eve!!!!!

We in The Ministry still haven't made definite plans yet, but it looks like we'll have a strong showing in Rochester. Major Doody is all psyched up for this, and barring a major blizzard I'll be there. We'll probably drag the rest of the boys along too. Maybe we'll even convert some unbelievers.
