Hey
Kinda new to footbag, learned of this site through a friend in the area. Anyway I have been practicing my ATWs and yesterday morning while practicing , my leg started popping and hurting where the upper thigh connects to the pelvis, also I started to feel a lot a pressure in my knee. The pressure in the knee went down a lot overnight (along with the swelling) but both spots are still pretty sore. I have a doctor appointment later next week. but until then any ideas?

I felt this pain once. Funny you'd feel it from doing ATWs . . . but the pain in your hip is most likely inflamation of your hip flexor. Figure out which move(s) caused that pain and stop doing them for a while. When I got the pain, it was from trying fliers. I was trying to lift my legs too high in the air to perform the tricks. When I eliminated those moves from my daily shred outines, the pains went away. Maybe it is that you are trying your ATWs while lifting your leg too high off the ground? Your hip isn't meant to attach a flailing/dexing limb too high off the ground.

I have been pretty rough on my knees lately, my shoes are way to heavy for footbag, and after watching some example videos online, I raise my leg up way higher than the person in the video. Thanks for the replies.
EDIT: I reversed the direction I rotated my leg and it doest hurt as much.
