Just Got My First Mr.

Post by Mchaz »

Hey guys, I just got my first Mr. Sandbag today. I purchased it from Freedom Footbags.

Fist off, this thing is tiny compared to my old crochet bag.

Obligitory comparison shot:

I have kicked it around a bit, and I like what I feel. It doesn't go off in random directions like the crochet does from time to time. I already broke my record for continuous hits. I can't stall worth a flip, but I'll keep working on it.

It looks like a long learning curve is ahead of me, but I hope it's a lot of fun! Now it's time to recruit all of my circle kicking "hacky sack" buddies into freestyle footbag.

*Edit, put in a better pic.

Dude...I'm sure you hear this all the time but...

Are you still in that band with Screech?

...Just kiddin' ya buddy. Good job on getting a sandbag. If you haven't gotten a pair of Lavers yet, you might want to get them.

That's about it. Welcome to the wonderful world of footbag!

Yeah, I do get that all the time. Actually, what's funny, is that right now I'm wearing a shirt that says "I French Kissed Kelly Kapowski". 8O

Lavers cost a little more cash than a Mr. Sandbag, so those will have to wait until the next season of profuse gift giving. Maybe by then I can justify getting a nice 32 panel also. :P

Thanks for welcome!

Thanks for the advice. Do you know what model they are? I googled "Gravis shoes" and I found a bunch of different types. Also, where did you find them for $16? All of the ones I found retailed in the range of $40-$70.

don't mess around with gravis dunbars. check ebay for lavers in your size, and get em cheap that way. Good luck.

Gravis dunbars are totally discontinued, they were a rare shoe to begin with, and they've received negative reviews in comparison to the laver from everyone I've spoken to about them. On top of that, lavers are easier to find, and you're more likely to find them cheaper than the dunbars you'll find. But that's just my opinion. You can play hacky sack in whatever shoes you like :D

Yeah, I was planning on getting a pair of the twill lavers from Lon. They look dead sexy. Haha.
