What is your prefered shred weight?

I have an abshire and I dunno. It weighs about 35 grams. I'd almost like it slightly heavier but wouldn't know where to start in doing that. Anyways. What weight do you guys prefer?

45-46 g. or more heavy.

I love my doc bag, and id say its around 60-70 g?

it was my heaviest bag before, and it was barely filled, but i added some more tiny bb's and its super heavy now. so sweet.

I like heavy because you know where it is on your foot without looking. Although its good to look

60-70g?? Wow. I like mine at around 37-40g. I can't exactly put into words why, except that it feels like a good weight that I can control easily.

I prefer 30-35, but right now I am using one about 45 becasue it is hard to find (and make) light bags now.

its hard to find because not many people want them, so no not many stitchers do either. especially because they are hard to make because you sometimes need lighter filler to offset the usual weighted material you fill with.

my newest bags (thx to mahhkohh) are about 40-50 g.
and i really like it, at the moment it's perfect for me

45-50 grams is good. Heavier is better for me, because i always know where the bag is, and I feel more confident with my sets.

If you have a bag which is too light, I recommend buying some leadshot (metal bbs) and then putting a small straw between the seams of the bag, and adding weight to preference. Works for me.

Thats another question, how exactly do I go about addign more weight? I've looked for the bleed holes in my abshire but have yet to find what I've read about, I just know I'd love this thing if it were maybe 8 to 10 grams heavier.

it's a seam without stitches between every hex and it's adjacent hex on your bag. If you take a plastic straw like Ken mentioned and cut off the end diagonally, you can use that point to wedge down between that seam. Add weight by using beads, bbs, lead shot, or another type of filler. Just put it into the straw, and it'll make its way down into the bag provided it's not too big. You can use this same method to remove fill.

My preferred shred weight is between 147 and 153 lbs- any more than that and I feel too slow. In regards to footbags, I prefer heavier than lighter, although too heavy is just as bad as too light because it tired out the legs too much to constantly set such a heavy weight.

35-40 for me, but I'm willing to get a 40-50 gram bag as well. I think that's the weight of my Hania bag, and its very good for shredding because of how heavy it is. Its pretty much the heaviest bag i have in my collection.
