Damn..the 12th? What up, week of finals. And I was so close to a 4.0..footbag will be the death of me.

Just had a solo session down at Anderson. Probably lasted about an hour, tops. On top of the wind was pissing me off, my Mr. doesn't have much Sand(bag) in it. Gonna have to ask for a few for X-Mas...yey.

I hit 19 consecutive flipside mirages (footed on the 20th)..that's more than double my old record.

Tried to go for some records in the same way with illusion, and while it's fairly consistent mid-run, I couldn't get more than like 3 or 4.

Drilled ATWs a little bit, and clippers a little bit. My flipside clipper foot is lame..literally. Practice makes perfect though.

Oh! Almost forgot to mention..played a round of net with Mark, Tschumi, and Kevin. I sucked it up. Kevin kept acing Mark and I...it was ridiculous.

That is all for now.

Met Chad down at South Park where he was playing net with Sam and Greg...some other guys came down from AZ, but I didn't catch their names. Awesome players.

Had a short session with Chad after he was done playing net. Started off fairly strong, but I got tired pretty quickly and my consistency went way down.

Hell, this isn't worth writing about. Didn't hit anything new..was trying to string symp. mirage BS with some ATWs thrown in, but to no avail.

Must..fight..to..survive.

Session with Brett down at Anderson tonight. I know I live in Southern California..but it was ass-biting cold.

Schooled strings, mainly involving ATWs..threw in some pickups and symp. mirages..but mainly the ATWs were accompanied by mirage, illusion, and legover.

Hit clipper x3 on my strongside. Oh money.

Hit symp. pixie a few times, but couldn't manage to hit it back to back. Man, that'll be sweet.

Brett called it quits, due to his illness..but since we hadn't been there very long I decided to hang around and drill clippers. Flipside is slowly coming..but my foot is just taking its time learning that motion. My strongside is really coming along..not only am I really getting the delay down but I'm getting much better with my sets.

Stupid finals..all I want to do is play footbag. Can't wait til winter session when it'll be ON.

Session tonight with Mark and Brett in Mark's garage. Way too short for a three person session..probably like an hour, hour-fifteen.

Nothing really noteworthy..wasn't too happy with tonight's session besides a few things:
  • Symp. pixie back to back a couple times
    ATW>symp. mirage>legover>symp. mirage
Nothing to write home to Mom about...I need to have a solo session.

Playing footbag in Mark's garage is just a bad idea..I got distracted by a power drill and the session went downhill from there.

I played this thing called 'freestyle footbag' tonight.

It was totally sweet. I think I'll do it again sometime.

Had the fattest session of all time tonight. Fletch and I were die-hard and played for about 2h 40m ish. It was savage.

Worked clippers a bit..but no visible progress.

Hit clipper>mirage a couple times, one of those being pretty damn clean.

Schooled ATWs...along with the average tiltess strings.
Funk's Flog wrote: about two hours into the sesh me and dave decided to battle..
atw>atw>legover>atw>atw>legover i won
mirage>illusion>symp pixie>mirage>illusion symp pixie dave won, props.
uhh a few other things, then mirage>illusion>symp mirage and neither of us hit it though we tried for about a half hour. this tells me i need to get better. good practice on my illusions though.
Racing to tricks/strings is fun!

Footbag is fun!

Played so long tonight I don't even remember the strings I hit. Hopefully we'll have another sick session, this time with Chad. If he can't make it..we'll just have to have a sick session without him.[/quote]

Played for about an 1h 15m or so with Fletch, Brett, and Chris.

Pretty weak session..considering the number of people in the session versus time played. I played pretty poorly..I think I was just tired from the long session last night.

Hopefully Brett and I will play later tonight when he gets off work. Until then, I need to/should/will(?) study for finals.

Ugh.

Nice session today with Fletch and Chad at the Hermosa Pier. Was a little cloudly when we arrived at 1 o'clock, but the sun burned through, perhaps a little too much, shortly there after.

During the session I set a goal to hit symp. pixie>symp. mirage mid-string, and I succeeded....now I just need to hit it flipside.

That's about all I'm especially proud of..other than that it was a decent session for me. Standard tiltless, you know how we (I) do.

Fletch hit some crazy new firsts, including atomsmasher and ducking legover. Props to F[ad]unk.

Sigh..let the studying begin. First final of the week is tomorrow afternoon. Thank god, geology is over and done with by 5PM tomorrow. Then I just gotta worry about some other tests and couple papers.

I don't think my footbag will see the light of day until Friday..though it might see some moonlight on Thursday night :)

Session tonight at Mark's.

Brett, Chad, Chris, and Funk were present.

I played most shittily (Sure it's a word!) tonight. However, I did work my clippers most vigorously...and am seeing little improvement. Better than nothing though.

Also, hit clipper>symp. mirage for the first time. That was nice.

Hit 2 consecutive symp. mirages on my strong side (Personal record..woo?)....Need to work flip.

I'm very disappointed with my tiltless game right now. It's really frustrating. I'm not as consistent as I'd like to be..but I think the root problem is I don't delay as much as I need to in between tricks..causing my runs to go quickly, and really killing and fluidity in my game.

Frustration blows. Practice>practice>practice>rpt. Sigh.

Won't be able to play til Friday..serious this time! I have 4 finals (2 tomorrow, and 2 more on Thursday), and a paper due on Friday. Time to buckle down, and hope I'll be able to make a strong comeback.

Session at Mark's this fine evening. Lasted about 2.5h, but wasn't hardcore shredding the entire time. Brett, Funk, and Chris were present.

Spent a lot of time drilling clippers..mainly flipside. They shall be mine.

Hit clipper>symp. mirage.

Hit clipper>sole stall!..Didn't do anything out of it, but was really sweet!

Worked on slowing down/better controlling basics. It's kind of tough, but I'm not sure why.

Funny, didn't think I'd be able to shred this entire week because of finals. But I'm pretty sure I'm still going to pull a 4.0. That would be fantastic.

Can't wait for winter break..it's going to bed shred-madness. My clipper will be that much more dialed by the end of winter session.

Fletch hit DATW twice tonight!!!

I'm so proud.

Oh yeah..this is my flog. Damn, well..drilled ATWs like crazy tonight, as well as some good ole fashioned clipper-ing. My flip ATWs need work.

Hit a good run which involved symp. mirage both sides and drop after a symp. pixie (Was trying for both sides with that, too).

Somewhat short session..but since I'm pretty much done with this semester....more footbag to come!

Props to Fletch once more..man, that was sick.

Yes, it's true: I had a session with Fletcher Funk and Chad Devlahovich today.

Yes, it's true: It was sick.

Yes, it's true: There's nothing worth writing nor reading in this post..but since I've come this far, I might as well click 'Submit'.

Haven't logged any sessions recently..thought I'm pretty sure I've been playing everyday.

Yesterday afternoon I had a session with Funk and Chad down in Hermosa. It was a lot of fun, though I didn't think I was playing very well. I think it was that gloomy weather.....

Had a few good runs. I really need to improve my symp. moves.

I footed double legover! Soooo close I could taste it.

I'll never forget about my clippers..how could I?

Note: This is not worth reading

Had a short solo session today..getting back in the groove of playing everyday after some recent slacking. Worked on clippers (but of course)...it seems that my flipside has switched. Curious.

Drilled flipside ATWs.

PEACE.

Awesome session last night with Sam and Brett.

Didn't even plan on playing very long/seriously, because we started so late (Around 11PM)..but that all changed for some reason.

I had a few decently-sized runs, and I worked clippers for a little bit (Key phrase: a little bit).

What I'm really proud of from last night's session was that I hit DLO once and flail at least 3 times. Soooo sick! I was trying for eggbeater, but that wasn't going to happen. I tried pretty hard to hit flail on my flipside, but to no avail. I'm fully confident I'll be able to during my next session..which will be earlier in the day.

Also, Sam hit DLO..which is just fucking ridiculous. That guy surprises me more and more every time we kick. He has such an innate ability for the game, I'm just glad he's putting it to use.

Note to self: Must work flipside next session.

Winter intersession is consuming my life with apathy. Thanks for getting on my case, I wish I saw your post earlier.

Hardcore solo session to compensate for my laziness:

Drills:
Inside Delays (Record: 15) ..get to about 10, give or take 3 either way, and then I lose control/will to keep my feet flat.
ATW>Mirage>ATW (other direction)>Legover..BSOS
Legovers (Record: x15)
Pickups..jesus christ I'm terrible at this game.
I'm having a really hard time devoting my support leg to partially setting the bag from a clipper, which, I believe, is part of the reason I suck at doing consecutive clippers.

Why am I so terrible? I guess you get out what you put in, but it's just hard to put in with so little results.

I lack balance. I lack control. Perhaps, though, these things come with time and what I really lack is will.

Long story short, I need Funk. He's the greatest motivational tool I've ever known. But, like a big pansy, he has to go to school miles away.

I really need to call Chad.

Frustration.
