Dec. 17

Day 1 of sobriety..

k well havent posted in my blog in a while. like always ive been busy etc..but, today is the day!..day one of being sober..see how long this lasts..im shooting for like 4 months..maybe when summer starts i dunno...anyways, about footbaggin'..um its so cold and im miserable when its cold so i havent been up for shredding these last few weeks..jus some moderate baggin' 15 mins a day or so..

..ive been drilling flipside..managed to hit some consecutive flipside mirages which is cool..and my pickups are awesome!..my new fav trick is pickup and im consistent both sides so ya thats sweet..my flipside clipper is even better..jus drilling the basics ya no..not too driven to progress extremely right now..but im still baggin' it up..

..im getting my very own digi cam for xmas so i can and will be making some new videos of my progression..so yea i guess look foward to that..maybe by early january i will post a new video up..well wish me luck on the whole..quiting weed thing...

Quitting pot is easy, just frigging do it.

It took me nine thousand failed attempts and Ive finally done it.

All you need is a girlfriend, you'll forget about pot in like two seconds if you start getting high in a different way.

I hackysack at school everyday, though. Kids think I am a god because I can do atw's.

wow, been like 2 years since ive posted here! a lot has happened since then but ill keep it short. i stopped baggin cuz i sorta lost interest and college started etc. i got diagnosed with testicular cancer dec. 30, 08 and have been dealing with that since. i had my right testicle removed jan 2, 09 and currently im doing chemo. i have 3 cycles of chemo and i jus finished my 2nd cycle a few days ago. i get to rest for 2 weeks and do my 3rd and hopefully last chemo cycle. i dropped my college classes and im on work release for my job so thats cool. neways, i rly want to start baggin again once i beat cancer and start feeling better(hopefully in 1.5 months). i remember all the good times i had baggin bak in highschool and i want to start again come spring. neways, ill keep this updated and cant wait to start baggin it up again! i still have my black lavers and i have a old dirtbag (sand) that ill use but i think i want a new bag. i want a shred ready footbag from matt cross or some1. not sure wut type of bag, but i want it to be beginner easy. and, uplifting colors.

Hey Ethan. Good luck with beating cancer. Once you feel up for playing again, you should get in touch with me or Adrienne (colefieldhouse22). We play at University of Maryland in College Park on weekends. Good luck with the recovery.

well since im going through chemo. i cant footbag for more than 5-10 mins a day. i get very winded after a min or 2 of footbagging so i take a lot of breaks but its still better than nothing. im using my 8 panel dirtbag and my mr.sandman but i bought a matt cross bag and a bomb bag im just waiting for them to arrive. anyways, ive mainly been drilling the basic 2 adds and getting my flipside just as strong as my strong side so when i really start shredding ill be all caught up and ready.

ive really been drilling my clippers as well. my strong side clipper is okay, i can stall it 80% or more of the time but i have trouble setting it 50% of the time. i either set it too low and can only do a toe stall out of it, or i set it too far away from my body and have to catch it. i know it just take practice to be able to set the bag correctly but ill keep trying! one thing im really happy about it my flipside clipper. a few days ago, i couldnt even hit 1 flipside clipper but ive been drilling it more than anything else and after a few days i can already hit my flipside 3 out of 10 times or around that. its not much, but its nice to see some improvement already. i cant wait till i can hit my clippers back to back and really pull a string together. so far, ive only been able to hit both sides clippers back to back a few times because i have trouble setting the bag in the right place to do a clean clipper ill keep trying tho.

i have a short chemo session tomorrow but my 3rd and final chemo cycle is next monday. it last 5 days and after that i should be cancer free! ill just need a C T scan after my 3rd cycle to see if all the cancer cells have been killed. im hoping to god they will be and ill return to a normal life. well, as normal as a cancer survivors life can be. anyways, ill keep this blog updated.
