Flax Seed Oil vs Fish oil

Post by Guest_2 »

Fish oil is great for you! But it comes from animals... :(

Are there any differences in the benefits for you in the animal friendly alternative, flax seed?

Also, prescription meds for depression on average lower symptoms by 20%. Fish oil lowers symptoms on average by 50%. Do you know if flax seed yields the same result?

Flaxseed oil is just a s good and cheaper. You should eat fish and take flzxseed oil as a supplement.

I had my flax seed powder in an applejuice almond molasses cinnomon blended smoothie thing.

No, it's a source for necesary fatty acids your body doesn't produce and you must obtain from an outside source. The 'fatty acids' are for assisting in brain chemistry/development, joints, and other body functions.

I don't eat fish [I'm a veggie], and don't consume fish oil either for that reason.

I figured out that there is this algae source that contains them and has much more than flax seed. It's because fish eat the algae, that they have the fatty acids to begin with. So the best source is the algae, but I'm not sure where to find it or what it's called.

Edit: By the way, thanks for posting!
