Gym Shred was very kool today .

I came there first, and i felt a bit lost - partly because i dont have any
idea how to warm up in the right way since a couple of sessions and
also because i wasnt sure if anybody else would make it .

So i was very happy, when Bea suddenly showed up - i was really
happy and surprised, cause i was sure she wanted to go to the franz f. concert tonight.
A little later Max also came by, and thirty min later Nora was
standing next to me aswell, completly out of the blue.
We worked in different groups, and i really enjoyed drilling bops
and drifters wit the others.
Max and me also worked on atomic stuff and a little stepping -
and spins of course ; since Nora is around, evrybody does more spins.
After an hour of drilling, we went for some runs, and Bea left us early
since she wasnt happy with her perfomance ( she wasnt the only one ).

Today was a good day for nice tricks, but a bad one for runs and
Nora clearly had the best runs today i'm not comparing the players,
i'm talking about on how somebody is able to his/her full range of
abillities and Nora kicked ass : whirls, spinning clippers and almost ripwalk.

I hit pixie tap again, and it was definitly clean :D

smear>butter>pdx mir>rpt>datw - nothing great, but it felt good
to seal that standart drill with datw .

8 infinities ; 15 bops with butter>ss butter and butter>osis>p mir bsos
i had a good time with them bops - and i will get better .

butter>drifter>osis

pixie clip>swirl

ripwalk>spin clip bs

dimwalk>torque :D

paradox drifter 8) and smoke

I can ask at Muffathalle, if they need more people...work is easy,
most co workers are nice and music loving people, the boss is
super sweet, you can chose the worktime yourself and the job
itself is sooo chill : you get basically paid for attending all kinds
of music/cultural events :)

Man, that session was the shit :D - almost everybody showed up -
god, i think i was about to explode when i saw you and Bjoern !

So kooool to see you guys shred :P you were really doing well out there :
more flip pixie, your clipper game is constantly improving and your
tripless combos were many and nice to look at - btw, in your last
post you forgot some stuff that you hit :

dim>pdx mirage rpt, rip>diving butter>torque and my favorite 4-4-4 of you :

ripwalk>stepping osis>torque = geil :D !

and you hit 9+ osii b2b and there was one monster run ( with a lot of
travelling  ) i can distinctly remember with some 19 contacts,
starting with four pixie trix :D

You played well and you made all of us very happy . Come back soon !!!

till then

REUNION SHRED aka what really happenend on Monday 19th of December...

Hopes were high on my side that this session will have joyful epic
qualities .
But it came even better ; when i entered the gyms changing room,
i could immediatly spot Bjoerns clothes and junk and it was clear that
he didnt just came by to film and chat :D .
Just to make sure, i peeped into the gym and caught him shredding.
Sometimes you find out how much you've missed
somebody in the moment you suddenly see him -
a reverse "dont know what you've got till its gone
I giggled, when i realized, how much i like him to be around and
somewhat calmed down, i took for ever to change and get ready.

Then it began. I warmed up with kicks and got to a satisfying number
by second try, and it was time to move on .
B-Rock was already in the zone and tried, footed and hit some really
stoopid shit, mostly swirl related - by the time he hit fucking dimwalk swirl
, i knew that this session will be a milestone, ignoring the fact that
he missed the handcatch on pixie butter swirl...
The warm up was perfect - everything worked to my liking and i moved
on quick thru the different sections ( kicks, tilltless, bails ).

Markus and Max came in 20 minutes later, Bjoern and me kept drilling .
I gave almost every concept a shot, quantum aswell  and
after a short while everybody was ready to bust.
Dog, was i eager to see Markus shred - its been a long time -
especially because we have been shredtouring a lot this summer-
but it was worth the wait ( check our blog for details )

The shred was awesome . Max, who looked a lil tired, had some hard
runs where everything fell into place - tuff links, good form and a lotta
contacts. It was like everybody was doing well, and there was a lot of variety in the circle .
I witnessed nice long strings, new combos, sick 3's - we even had various
rounds of most rippin run !
And we had a cam, and yes we managed to use it even  , it was
perfect, if it wasnt for the absence of the girls .

32 tiltless ; 16 bop

8 contacts of smear>plo rpt - you see what happens larry...

a 14+ guiltless contact run 8O

ripwalk>dlo flip

toe blur>butter>run bs

ripwalk>stepping far legover bs

ripwalk>stepping osis

ripwalk>ripwalk from bs

symp mirage>tap>butter>pdx mir>rpt >>run :)

smear>legbeater bs 8)

starting some runs with atom>atomic legover, or toe blur>butter,
dim>p mir rpt or legbeater>p mir

spinning clipper>ripwalk both sides :D

I was on good terms with my runs that day ; either i was hitting
7-12 guiltless, they way i like it, or, when i had no power or a
lack of creativity, i just used more twos and made the runs last longer.
Maby i had a bad conscience or something, cuz i had a gnawing urge
to hit as many fours as possible- as if i wanted to make up for my unruly behavior

Highlights were smoke, beta smear, atom>atom and the many
toe blurs, and the sudden command over legbeaters and ripwalks.

Tomorrow i will get skooled by Bea, i might learn whirl for good .
I want my double dexes to take off, and i want drifters and swirls
more solid .

Thanx Father Christmas :D

Moday was really cool indeed! And thanks to Vienna for all the motivation and inspiration.
It was good to see everybody, and to witness how bothsided Markus became. When I played with him the last time (August??? too long anyway) he still had problems with his flip clipper. But now his feets are almost equal wich is sooo good! Btw. how long did you guys play? I left at hmm 10 p.m. :) And great to see that Bjoern, despite the break he has to take, still can play footbag good! Ok here is what I hit:
Whirl > Ripwalk and Whirl > Blur in the same run Steeping out of clipper is one of my goals
Drifter > DLO > PLO
Tap > Atomsmasher > Legbeater
Stepping Osis bsos
11 ss Whirls flip
21 ss Butterflies flip
39 Infinities
Paradon bsos

And the most important fact:
Several RUNS I was really happy with!
I don't care for singel tricks or combos I play footbag to experience the joy of doing a long, unique and hard run!!! Now I just have to find a way to motivate me to really go for runs in my solo sessions!

Word . Runs are the most important thing, but i guess we do it the right
way, with the long periods of extreme drilling and stuff.
If we wouldnt work on combos or single elements ( moves/concepts),
chances of hitting a long, hard run would be somewhat small  .
Anyway, in winter, we definitly exagerate sometimes ...

Drillen sollte zweck, nicht selbsttweck sein !

The way we sessioned on monday really worked for me :
- short, efficient warm up
- going over some elements rather quickly
- 2 HRS OF HARDCORE CIRCLE ACTION

So, i'm fully on your side, letting go and just shred is the best feeling,
lets focus on runs some more ( and eventually on routines ) .
