I just realized that I forgot to mention that the guys are shredding fantastically!!! Greenwood has improved so much over the past little while! He hit whirling swirl several times tonight, but it was his first time every even trying it! Tom is awesome as always, lots of cool artsy stuff... and Dan is better than I expected... he always downplays himself! He has got an awesome foundation and great determination. Mike too, he started freestyle this year, after 10 years of hippy hacking, but he's really at 'er! Good stuff all around. It was jokes when we got all dressed to go out for a doob but then ended up kickin a bag around in our jeans and outside shoes anyway... what addicts...

Woooooooo!!!! It was so much fun shredding with you and the rest, Camille. I think having a female presence in the circle is great...it keeps all the guys from telling too many dick and fart jokes. But seriously, I had the most fun ever...close to 6 hours of shred felt like nothing. It was wicked. So, in conclusion, this holiday needs more and more shred!

I just had a FANTASTIC FOOTBAG "FULL-HACK" weekend with:
Jorden Moir
Tom Mosher

The Canadian Breakdancing Championships were in Toronto at York University on Friday, and Greenwood, Mosher, and Matt performed at it!!! So we all played footbag before, during, and after their performance at another spot on campus.
As always, I had a ton of fun! Footbaggers are the best kind of people, which is something that proves truer and truer everytime we all get together.
Matt and Tom were in town, which was lots of fun. I also got to meet Peng for the first time. Her bags are sweet.
Jorden came down to shred and chill, which was wicked, I haven't seen him in a while. He held it down as usual... I don't think I've said or heard "Dance Monkey!" so many times in one night before...
Shredding with Billy and Greenwood was really nice; I haven't had a session with my homies in a while! I usually play with Dan and Mike now. I also hurt my ankle two weeks ago while playing so I took a break until this weekend.
I hung out with Josh and Jacob for the first time, they are two cool cats that make me wish I still went to York. I hope Jacob gets more into freestyle, he has a lot of potential! He just joined modified, which is promising. Josh is progressing at a shocking rate! Only freestyling for like 4 months and has already hit atomsmasher! He told me that he credits me on his first legover, apparently I taught it to him like 2 years ago in a hack circle! It felt good to hear that.
Dan and I had fun as usual. We have been chilling every weekend, and of course playing footbag too. He is a rad guy, a great footbagger, and an excellent musician!
So we all shredded it up, listened to classic rock music on the radio, and listened to Matt play his guitar and sing, which he always awesomely does. I LOVED it. We also all tried our best not to vomit because of Tom and Peng. 
The session was good, everyone was hyped up, especially the guys from the performance. I can't wait to see the video; apparently the audience flipped!
Andrew was playing for the first time in a while, which was grrrreat! I hope he keeps up with it. Mike has been improving, he's such a cool, chill guy, I've really enjoyed getting to know him since the summer.
Our session was interrupted at midnight when a massive group of students came to the spot for their weekly game of dodgeball! Some of them were REALLY into it, it was jokes. It just kinda sucked for us because we had to move our circles so that we didn't get hit by the ball. We also played lots of kicky sack in our pants, that's always fun!
Some of the guys then played a somewhat violent game of 500 with what I call Peng's footblob, quite an interesting little toy. It's super squishy and sticks to stuff, and lights up! Dan and I stayed out of that one because we are little and we would get hurt!
It was so relaxing, delightful, and groovy sitting on the floor after shredding (while in pain), and listening to Matt play, sing, and beatbox while watching Jorden shred.
We went to Billy's apartment afterwards. Andrew, Jorden, Dan and I got there early and were chillin in the lobby. I decided to try some streethack off of a bench, in my pants and walking Lavers. After persistently trying it a bunch of times, I hit my first ever streethack trick: Symp Butterfly off a bench! And then I hit it again when the rest of the crew showed up! It felt great! I may try some more streethack stuff in the future, I find it a lot of fun.
Anyway, we partied a bit at Bill's and drank some wine, smoked some reefer. Good times. Jorden, Dan and I crashed at Andrews... we went to bed really late, immediately after scarfing down a LOT of food. Jorden wanted to sleep and so he requested that we feed him pizza and iced tea intravenously, but none of us had the guts to puncture a destroyer.
In the morning we were going to leave early but the Super Mario Bros. movie was on tv, commercial free, and so we of course had to watch it!!! We joined the sesh at York, which didn't last long since we were all in such pain from the night before... [I am still REALLY hurtin.]
Tom & Peng went to Tom's to chill, but Matt stuck around with me to take Jorden to the train station. We drove there and spent a bit of a nightmare on the streets downtown. After dropping Jorden we headed to Tom's just west of Toronto, but our state of mind (
) and our nice chat caused us to totally sketch out and miss our exit. Then we did that again once we turned back. And again... a FEW times. It was crazy rainy weather as well, but I through our long-ass circular "full-hack" drive, I realized that rainy days can be beautiful too. Matt's 
.
Anyway, to make a long story not so much longer, we had a blast at Tom's, I enjoyed the grand piano that Matt played and Dan totally jammed out on, Tom's pets are awesome, his house is beautiful, his garage is hack and smoke worthy, and Dan is wicked for taking me to the train station.

HEYYYYYY!!!! Hahaha. Wow. It's been a long ass time.
I just skimmed through some of the old posts here and they make me so happy! I had forgotten about so much of this stuff. And I can't believe the last stuff to be written in here... too funny! I'm happy that I'm still friends with you guys and footbag is an even more important part of my life now.
I’ve decided to resurrect this old thing because I think I kinda need it right now and I think it will make me happy to blog. Not even necessarily about footbag, but about my life in general, and I think this is a good place to share stuff. I hope anyone who reads this enjoys getting to know me better. I also welcome anyone who reads this and cares to know me to add me to facebook if you have it, because I guess I update that with a bit more of my day-to-day stuff, as well as TONS of photos (97 albums now
).
So, onto the bloggings…
Yesterday I played footbag for the 6th day in a row! I don’t think I’ve ever done that before, except for at World’s.
One session was with Mike, Josh, & Alex, another was with just Josh, but the rest were solo. And most sessions were about 2-3 hours in length, except for 2 that were just under an hour because of time restraints. I wanted to keep going but had shit to do and people to see.
I am going to play today for at least an hour or two at drum circle tonight. And then I don’t know if I will take tomorrow off or try to play for more than a week straight. We’ll see how the session goes.
Footbag has been going pretty well for me, I’m having SO much fun with it! I’m not really hitting any particularly big new tricks, I’ve mainly just been drilling, but I’ve been hitting some sweet links and some unique stuff, which is important to me because I find it fun. My consistency is also definitely on the rise and I just find that I play with a smile on my face, for the most part.
Other than that, life has been a total rollercoaster. But I think I’m just going to focus on the positive for now.
So yesterday I went to the Toronto Island with my 3-year-old nephew, his 11-year-old brother (my brother’s stepson), my younger sister & her bf, his 4-year-old nephew, and my younger brother and his gf. Yay 5th wheel! It’s kinda new for me but I’m getting used to it and I actually don’t really mind. Couples are cute. And people often open up to me or come to me for help with their relationships, so I always feel included in a way, I guess. I also never feel awkward and I think that others can feel it because they are always super chill with me.
Anyway… I really love my siblings’ significant others, sometimes even more than I do my siblings, and we always have fun together. And the kids were SOOOO cute!
The Toronto Island is really beautiful. It always makes me reminisce of my childhood, when our parents would take us to Centreville (the children’s amusement park on the island). Taking the ferry across the lake and then going on the rides (or putting the kids on the rides I no longer fit on) was pretty nostalgic. It’s weird to now be the older ones taking the kids out, but it’s so much fun and it makes me feel great.
I really love my nephew, he’s the greatest kid ever. He’s really bright and terribly funny (and he knows he’s funny, too) and just super cool. If you knew my brother I guess you’d understand. He’s such a chillin guy. He was 13 when I was born so he played a big part in raising me and molding me into the weirdo little skater punk that I have become. When I was 3 I was obsessed with wrestling, action figures, and hanging out with my brother and his peculiar guy friends. I guess it’s weird that I’m just realizing this now, but not much has changed. Though I’ll just say that I HATE WWF now and all that fake crap (it really loses it's luster once you're old enough to see it's an act), but I’m totally diggin’ UFC now… which -huh- is what my brother has also moved onto, ha.
What’s also weird is that I’m a big fan of weed and he has always been as well. Him & his buds used to smoke around me when I was too young to really know what it was. It completely stopped once I was about 4 and it wasn’t until I was 14 that I suddenly smelt pot and the memories came flooding back. So I went a good 10 years without even KNOWING what weed was. I know most people will look down on this whole thing, but I don’t think it’s really all that wrong and I turned out just fine, so… no harm done.
Anyway, my brother… let me paint you a picture… he was a Mohawk-sporting, doc-marten-wearing, skateboard-riding, pet rat-raising, home-tattooed wild child. We have different fathers so I didn’t get to spend too much time with him, but he would babysit me a LOT when I was really young. He was always so loving and inspiring. And I have a great relationship with him now that we are all adults.
So naturally, his kid Anthony is my most favourite person ever!

Yeah, we call him "Sideshow Bob Marley"
He’s so loving and sweet and fun. He adores animals and LOVES photography and takes photos of everything. He's just like me! I just today realized how he’s being molded into a similar way I was... Though he’s a bratty little shithead a lot of the time, like both my brothers were as well, so I have my moments with him. I’m doing my best to try to straighten him out whenever I have him because I think he’s totally spoiled by his mom and acts as so. I have no patience for that shit.
I’ve also come to realize (I figured this out years ago) that I don’t have enough patience for children to have any of my own ANY time soon. I absolutely adore kids and I love working with them, teaching them, taking care of them, and trying to affect them in positive ways… just not enough to have to it employ the majority of my life… I’m thinking I'll go in that direction in about 10 years, but right now I just have way too much that I want to do with myself.
Anyway, I’ve had the boys here with me since Saturday; it’s been a lot of fun and it just made me notice some of the above things. It’s funny how history repeats itself.
After we took the ferry back into the mainland and my sis & her half had bailed, I was itchin to shred. I managed to convince Olivia, my younger brother’s gf, to stick around with me and the kids downtown. It was getting kinda late so we didn’t have much time, but I found a wicked night spot and managed to play for the better part of an hour. I had a few sick runs and a couple small crowds of people saw and seemed impressed. I’m trying to get the boys into it and they’ve been pretty willing. Anthony is so cute with hack and I love the way he says “footbagâ€

I managed to convince Olivia, my younger brother’s gf, to stick around with me and the kids downtown. It was getting kinda late so we didn’t have much time, but I found a wicked night spot and managed to play for the better part of an hour. I had a few sick runs and a couple small crowds of people saw and seemed impressed. I’m trying to get the boys into it and they’ve been pretty willing. Anthony is so cute with hack and I love the way he says “footbagâ€
