I am thankful for just having had an intense Thanksgiving footbag session just before starting to eat a monstrously excellent dinner, including turkey, yams, baby broccoli, stuffing, other vegetable-like objects, and two homemade pies. Countdown to munch: 10 minutes!

My session yielded a few new moves and some good combos. For now, I'll just say that I skooled fairy swirling set for about 15 minutes and I hit frankenstein one time, altough it caught on my heel so that when I popped it up the bag flung into my ribcage. I dunno if that counts- the heel stall I mean, but the dexes sure were clean.

I got close to clownface too. I hit jani>fog>toe blur again too, which was nice. Oh, and I hit tornado for the second time, on my third try for my first (and only) mom. I also hit whirr>whirr>whirr, inspired by Aaron Orton's blog. Thanks for that Aaron! I hit torque>butterfly> torque>butterfly> torque>butterfly> torque>butterfly> torque>butterfly> torque>butterfly> torque>butterfly. And also I hit janiwalker>bs blur for the first time-not too hard, but usually i don't clear the 2nd dex on that move. I hit a new 7- add move today too, but you'll have to wait for the Sick 1 comp to see it. Anyway, time's running out so I'll say goodbye now.

Thank you loyal blog readers!

Infuriating session:
tried sooooooooooooooooooooooooo hard to hit a Sick 15 but failed miserably. I just kept dropping, so chances are I wont be submitting a Sick 15 vid unless its got more bails than I would hope for. I dunno about this. Anyway, I did manage to skool nuclear muted clipper a bunch and hit it in a few combos. That is a super sweet move.

Anyone who reads this post and can hit a nuclear set, pleeeeease go try nuclear muted clipper. And if you can hit it, make it into a hein combo! I kind of hit blurriest>drifter>drifter>blurriest, but i thinkt he last move's dexes were above the bag. I hit atomic dlo>toe torque, which was cool. I hit Nuc muted clipper>whirling swirl, which was cool.

Also, I hit whirr>nuclear muted clipper. Felt nice!
Hit 1 new move: nuclear muted xbd rake, inspired by Ted Anderson. I had nuclear muted swirl off my heel once.

I got so frustrated by not being able to hit a Sick 15 that I threw a bag so hard on concrete that it created a rather large hole. Its okay tho, because I was pissed at that bag anyway because it was too light. I have to refill and patch that stupid fucking bag!

Got one waiting for you if you make it up here!

On a footbag note, I hit mobius 4x in a row today, not consecutively, but in 4 consecutive attempts. Suuuper close to pdx torque>pdx torque . . . will hit it next session for sure. Fearless combo of the day:

blurriest>blurry whirl>blurry whirl>blurriest
Im especially proud of this one because before tonight, I had never hit a blurry whirl from my flip blurriest (the move this combo starts from). Tonight I did, and then had enough time to hit a 2nd bl wh followed by a blurriest 8) ! Man, I felt like Dave Clavens!

Also in recent news, theres a mother fucking footbag movie like 3 posts up so watch it G-d damnit! And if you watxh it and enjoy it, show me some love!!!! (And I hit blurriest>ps eggbeater twice too.)

Funny you said you "felt like Dave Clavens." 5 years ago, that combo was known as "Chad's combo," and when Vortex (the movie) came out, one of the coolest parts of the vids was the 2 man section with Chad and Sunil. Chad hit flurry-legbeater repeat ("sunil's combo") and Sunil hit "Chad's combo" in the same section.

Blurriest-ps egg is rad. How about fusion to ps egg?

Such a shame our times in Tucson didn't overlap... :(

In about 100 tries, flip mobius about 7 times in total, 3 of them good enough to play out of.

Skooled pdx torques on the flip primarily . . had an awful lot of difficulty hitting them. Did manage hit hit a lot, just not consistently. Did manage flip pdx torque>flip pdx drifter, which was f-ckin dopalicious. hit 4 consec fears on the strong side, fairy ss torque on both sides (lots of tries tho) and at one point, 14 fears in 14 tries from my "flip" fairy set. That was nice.

Nothing but torques and fairy today.

quick note in the ole blogarino:

Sessioned with Dat in a 2-man garage session. Emily, luckily, was able to watch two incredibly fit and chiseled man-specimens whipe out new moves like she was at a peep show. In any case, the energy was pretty good throughout and Dat played as hard as Ive ever seen him. He was determined to hit some new moves and skool some others. He had a good footbag day, and since Im sure he wont post in his footblog, Ill say what he hit here:
stepping butt bsos
flip bubbabeater 2x nice and clean
dbl switchover (bs i believe)
ducking clip>ducking clip
some good whirls on both sides (getting better each session)
and his first BARFLY!!!! (sweet)
As for me, again I skooled pdx torques, flip mobius and fairy set. I hit one flip mobius in about 10 tries, which was sweet. I hit torque>p torque, which was nice. Soooo close once to torque> blurry drifter (off foot). I hit 4 fears strongside again, but this time set the fifth. I hit fairy ss eggbeater on the strong side. Then I hit fairy op eggbeater (orangutan) on the strong and later once on the flip. I hit that in homage to Hood. Im skooling fairy (i think) in honor of Johnny Suderman. I dont think Im skooling anything in honor of Jorden Moir, but i guess thats okay. I got super close to nuclear muted swirl. I hope to hit that soon. And i hit a fairy ss drifter too. Bye now.

Feelin' not so hot about my shred lately, so Ive decided to have more sessions w/in the next week or so before x-mas time hits. yesterday I had a shred with Dat, Nasty Nate, Emily, and Amelia. I felt like I played shitty compared to nate, who tore the roof off the gym with anything he wanted to hit. He is good. Too many highlights to name, but you can check out a few clips in his blog. As for me, well, since I sucked it up, I have very little to report. I happened to hit flip mobius>symp whirl, which was a freakin miracle not to be duplicated again for months most likely, and at one point I managed 4 fearless. I think it was blurry whirl>blurriest>ps whirl>ps whirl>drop on mobius, as glasses fly off head. I also had one run where I BSOSed alpine atom smashers. Other than that, my shred was shit.

Today, I had another session> I managed:
-fear>alpine atomsmasher (bs)
-fairy whirl(NEW)>torque (one side)
-fairy whirl(NEW)>pdx torque (other side)
-fairy ducking butterfly (NEW)
-flip mobius>whirl
-about 10 flip mobius', close to flip mob>whirling swirl
-mobius bsos in one sloooooooooppy string
-fear>atm sm>fear>atm sm>atm sm>legbeater
-pdx torque>pdx torque again, yay!

Had 2 mores sessions with Nate, and the same 2 with Aaron Orton and Emily! Those were fun times! Anyhow, so much went down, most of it by the other shreders, but Ill let them post what they did and Ill just post some highlights and maybe some clips of the session later.

My highlights:-
-whirring swirl>super short, crappy run
-blurry whirl>blurriest> ps eggbeater (new 5 to 5 to 5)
-blurry whirl>blurry whirl>ps whirl>ps whirl
-janiwalker>blurry whirl>blurry whirl>ps whirl>ps whirl (5 fearless ties my record)
-Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure 8) (must hit it again tho with an appropriate seal and better form)
-blurriest>whirlygig (first attempt at whirlygig from anything)
-fury>gary coleman! 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O (made me so happy)
-don't want to remember anything more
