Footbaggers in St. Louis?

Post by SandWraith »

(not sure if this is general footbag but I can't tell where else to put it)

I hate to clog up modified with another topic thread, but I can't really find an easier way to do this. I will be moving to St. Louis on Wednesday for college, and have yet to hear of anyone in the St. Louis area that kicks at all. I know there are a couple people that at one point were on modified, but for what appears to be only a short time. The same holds for the clubs on .org, as none of them has been updated in around a year and they were all created by people that were just getting into the sport (and I have to assume got out quickly as well :( ).

Soooooo if anyone knows of anyone in the St. Louis area I could kick with, I would be head-over-heels appreciative. Otherwise, I guess I'll have to go hardcore recruiting.

Derrick "Funky Chicken" Fogle lives in Columbia, MO (about 2 hours from St. Louis).

Derrick was just inducted into the footbag hall of fame this summer, and to the best of my knowledge he still kicks it once a week at outdoor concerts all summer. Derrick was a strong shredder in his day, and a great preformer in competition, though now he seems to be more into some kind of "footbag-as-dance" style. None-the-less (or perhaps all-the-more) you should take the time to look him up while you still have the opportunity. Even hall-of-famers can't play forever, and Derrick probably has alot to teach, if your mind is open.

Sam Conlon also lives in MO.
