I was just watching TV today, 12/22/05 - I have Much Music on in the background while I work on the computer, and the show 'One Hit Wonders' was on.
it's dedicated to bands that have a hit and then vanish.
Well they tried to say that "hacky sack" was a one hit wonder - and I guess they contacted FAT (Footbag Association of Toronto) to maybe do a segment.
Thankfully, FAT stood their ground and they quoted them on the show as saying "we refuse to participate as footbag is not a one hit wonder, it's a ... sport"
Not only that, but the bone head VJ was calling it 'footsack' not 'footbag'.
Ignorance is Bliss i guess.

holly crap... he was being that much of an idiot on TV? "Footsack"?? psshh... who is this guy. One hit wonder?! When was this "hit"? It's been steady growth straight-up, we're "opposite-of-fanishing" and I don't think I've heard of any footbag even being huge enough that the world took notice.
Maybe I'm too new to the sport, but the "footsack" can offend everyone, newb or no.
