how full?

Ok, for all you stitchers out there, I got a question:when you get done sewing a bag, how packed do you fill it (exp. hard, squishy ect). I know its preference/stitching style, but im just curious.

I leave mine about 70% full. I think most people base it on the size of the bag, the ammount of gather, and most importantly - the filler.

i pack mine pretty tight, i think it breaks in faster that way, also becuase i like my bags heavy

i fill mine up about 50%..if you want it heavier why not use a filler that's more dense, instead of filling up your bag way more with the same filler?

i fill 75% with magnum shot (7 1/2 size i think, its really small) and 25%polypellets. unbroken in, my bags are really tiny. about 2/3 the size of a golfball maybe a tad smaller, and broken in about 3/4 the size of a golfball.

I like to stuff mine kind of full if i do a tight stitch. if I stitch a bag loose, so it doesn't need as much break-in, I fill it about 60-70%. There are lots of factors that should determine what fill (weight, volume, density) will work. Try experimenting a lot. You'll have to play with all your bags [to the point of decay] until you find one template and stitching style that work really well and that u can execute consistantly, then fine tune the filler for that particular model of bag you've designed.
