Awesome work, Wim. I'm working on my first 32 as I type this, and I hope it comes out half as good as that.

The blind stitch seems to be tricky.

Thankee for the kind words, Davey! The things that got me there are: precision, patience, and having FUN!

The last stitches are tricky indeed. I used Jeremy O'Wheel's technique (described somewhere on the boards) and, although I'm far from mastering it, it seems like a good choice.

It's a good start. You may want to shorten the bleed-hole edge length a little because it looks almost the same length as the pent. With that kind of ratio, you may find that filler would fall out more easily.

I am pretty sure the bag does not have bleed holes. Take a look at the two hexes at the top of the pent.

The leg hair reminds me of Gulliver's Travels.

You are right, Kerr. The bag doesn't have bleed holes.
It's funny actually. Before I started cutting the panels etc. I inspected some pro bags and thought: "hey, the sides between the hexagons are smaller and they aren't stitched! Cheaters!"

Now I realise those are the famous bleed holes. My next bag will have them.

Peng and I call it cheater material because it's really easy to make pretty bags with it.

Cheater material is actually called Aqua. It's got a strange consistency indeed... but it always makes gorgeous bags.

Yeah, i have some of that cheater material too. The bags look great, but the material itself is thick and breaks in pretty bad. I've also had major problems with it pilling. stay away from it!

i think it's cheater material in that it always makes a bag look nice, and u're cheating anyone who buys it

However, I saw Kamil's peng bag on thursday and I believe it had aqua on it and seemed fine to me...

i have SO much 'cheater material'
used it in like 5 bags. eh...yeah, it doesnt break in great, if you ask me.
saffron and mayan are my two favorite colors, based on breaking in, and color.
