Help me Get Duncan to Spons0r Freestyle Reality

Post by Samurai »

Hello Modified.

Listen to me now.

I am in talk with McBride from Duncan. He might take me on as an adviser for the shoot and I'm going to try and get in as an advisor for the campagn. My goal is to convince them to create a magical world like Freestyle Reality and show it as a reality show. Then I will travel the world and you all will be my stars and we'll make bank and all be famous.

So, I am asking for your support because I feel if I can have the backing of a community then maybe I'll have more of a chance to make our dreams come true.

Oh and can you say, official 4-square leagues?

So just brainstorm with me and write things that would add to a good list that I could present to Duncan. Feel free to mention how I rule. :)

Good Luck to the sport of Footbag!

I hate to be the guy who shoots down ideas, but this doesn't really seem like anything a huge company would get behind. The whole idea of Freestyle Reality/Fantasy is something that pretty much just footbag players relate to and understand. I showed Freestyle Fantasy to one of my non-footbag friends once and they were just like "wtf?". I think starting off promotions/tv deals with something as obscure as what you make (not saying its not cool) would probably just make a lot of people say "huh?"

Although i highly doubt any major network picking up a show about hacky sack (becuase that's what it is to them), if we were to do anything it should be more of a day in the life type deal, with you (sam) going to tournaments and following around players and stuff. I think I'd rather watch that then see you conquer the gods.

If you do write a proposal, please make sure to spell sponsor correctly.

Yeah, I know that I made a mistake. I just think it's more positive to go up than down on/in somewhere, was it history or his___[anything]. ;)

Fear Factor to me is a bunch of nasty people eating bugs and gross tref

Have you seen some of the shit on tv? It needs footbag

I was thinking about that show where these people are trained by pros to compete in a one time event that has been a dream of theirs. Footbag would be a cool one to do. They've done wakeboarding and figure skating so far

So you mean some of us write to them about how we want to be the best in the world at footbag, and then a bunch of trainers will come and tell us to keep practicing cause we can be anything we wanna be? It would be good exposure.

Dude, you're not consulting on the shoot...

you're just Ashley's date. ;)

Seriously, McBride is a freelance videographer who we do lots of work with. We love him, but he has no say in what we sponsor.

But one thing I can assure you of, is that we are not going to throw money at a reality show about footbags.

First rule of this world: If you love something, keep it away from reality television.

Cheers,

S
