Don't you mean 3 sessions Gromitron??? Did you forget about the Standford session where we both hit 8 barflys?

Jeremy's fairys are also getting very good. I've seen him hit fairy whirl, drifter and double down, and several shuffle drills with both fairys. And he hit Ps whirl x7!

LOOK OUT 4 his newest solo vid!!! It is MAD!!!

Much fun kicking and hangin' with yah J. We must have several more b4 I head north again. And thanks for the bag, 12 panels are the way of the futrue!!!!!!

Taking Jorden's advice in the "How to Beat Jorden in a Competitive Event" thread, I assembled a Shred 30 routine this morning. This afternoon, I tried to hit it. Of course, it was way over my head. I couldn't get past the 15th link, which explains my troubles hitting a freakin Sick 15 for these modified monthly competitions. Anyhow, I just tweaked my Shred 30 4 different ways and I'll analyze each of them with a critical eye to determine whether they're hittable (by me) or not.

Aye, and a new video of me will be out soon I believe, basically whenever I choose to release it. its already uploaded and everything, the post just needs to be made and such. A pre-warning however: the video does NOT accurately represent my skill level, which may appear to be artificially inflated to the MAX because of my awesomeness at hitting heinous tricks. I am NOT as good as I appear to be on the video.

Agreed! It was awesome meeting you Jeremy, and your shred was really really impressive. Hopefully next time we meet I'll be able to hold my own in a circle with ya 8O Keep shredding hard, and come back next year! The event would not have been the same without you.

Jeremy is the best teacher out there. He gave me a tip that made me hit symposium atomic set right away.

Furthermore, Jeremy is one of my favorite people, and closest footbag friends who doesn't live in chicago. With his motivation and teaching abilities I wonder how things would be if he had gone to school here.

Moreover, when tha fack did whirr get so easy?? whirring swirl - BOOGE!

1st session back from twisted ankle 6 days ago. Played gingerly, hitting few tricks that required hard planting on the sketchy ankle. Basically, the 2 hr session mirrored my normal 5 minute warmup- lots of tiltless, the basic bops, and easy symposium concepts (one side only).

I had at least 3 tiltless 50 contact runs, including just as many 3s as 2s, mostly BOP 3s tho. One run I had was like:
toe drif>pdx mirage>toe drif>pdx mirage>toe drif>pdx mirage>toe drif>pdx mirage>toe drif>pdx mirage>toe drif>pdx drif>pdx drif>far inside pickup> inside set ss drifter (catch).

Also of note, I skooled ducking toes and I managed to hit 6, then 7, then 9, then 11, and ultimately 14 consecutive. It took between 15-20 minutes. I also hit 9 torques in a row, not consecutively tho, hand catching after each one. i was still afraid to try the flip due to the ol' ankle.

I hit flip flail>flip flail and 6 of 11 flails when I tried 11 in a row.

pdx mirage>toe drif>pdx drif>pdx drif>far inside pickup> inside set ss drifter (catch).
cool combo!
may I suggest some gyro inside pickups to go with that (very cool after any kind of drifters)?

that last link you did is very Ryan Mulroneyish... very stylish

Thanks Max.

I had a fairly fun session last night. For me, it started after the belly dancers left The Village. For Emily and Fletch, a bit earlier. Emily had to cut out a bit earlier than expected but Fletch and I held it down for approx. 2 more hrs after that. I had a few highlights, but most of the glory went to Fletcher. Ill briefly mention what I was proud of hitting:

-63 guiltless contacts, still not the really hard stuff though
-56 guiltless contacts, a little bit harder stuff than
-111 tiltless/guiltless contacts
-115 tiltless/guiltless contacts (new record)
-pdx dlo>plo>toe torque>pdx drifter
-torque>p drifter>torque>p drifter (unsealed or rolled off)
-7 consecutive ginger DLOs
- a couple of shorter runs with about 4-5 consec p drifters

Still 'recovering" from the ankle tweak, I am now confident enough to try most tricks, either planting from or landing on the formerly f-cked ankle. I had some good runs today with some harder tricks, haven't toucjed any fives yet tho. I did hit 5 consec flip pdx drifters and 7 consec strong pdx drifters, both of which were new records for me I believe. other than that, I hit some symp moves, some eggbeaters, dlos, my first step from the tweaked ankle, and some flip whirls for the first time. Still no double downs, which is how I tweaked the ankle in the first place.

I sprained an ankle on a paradon, though I was much less proficient in that area than you. Just make sure you don't try anything too dangerous-- it's very easy to resprain an ankle. In fact, I've read it takes around 6 months for the collagen in your ligaments to completely remend.

And it was nice meeting you. :)

Im going to have a session today- probably by myself. I doubt I'll have lots of motivation. Since Chicago, I haven't really been interested in improving my game, or playing much for that matter. What I do want to accmoplish is 150 tiltless contacts and 100 guiltless contacts. I also ight skool my fair set again, which Ive neglected for about 3 weeks now. I hope I still can hit it. If you read this blog later today, don't expect any great highlights  My ankle feels better but I can still feel it. It warms up slowly. I think I'll skool flip blender a bit. Maybe flip swirls. Talk to you later.

Oh yeah, Im gunna play to 1 of 3 new CDs I bought yesterday, Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise 4. I don't know anything about it, but the 2-CD package was on sale for 15.99 so I bought it :D

CD is pretty good- a bit mellow for my taste. I like fast hard beats. Anyway, only a few highlights to report. My first run was 84 tiltless contacts, longest of the day, although i wasn't really pushing myself today for length. I skooled some stuff. I skooled my flip pixie a bit, hit drills like pixie pickup>pixie ss pickup>rpt and pixie ss legover>pixie legover>rpt. I hit gyro whirl a bit and had gyro whirling swirl off my foot once. I can hit that move if i try it a bunch. I skooled fairy set just a little. Managed 4 flip fears in a row, which was nice. I also managed to hit fairy op legover> fairy op legover, which was new. Just before i came in, I hit atomic legover>tapping legover>rpt, which was much harder than I anticipated it would be. I guess it was a combination of being hard and the fact that I hadn't tried an atomic set in 3 weeks. Anyway, it felt good to be playing again. Oh yeah, I tried a drill twice, but didnt manage to hit the whole thing. I will next session. It is toe drifter>pdx dlo>toe drifter>dlo>repeat, so all in all 8 tricks with both dlos, both pdx dlos, and both toe drifters. I hit the first 7 tricks and the 8th rolled off.

smoke>pdx dlo>toe drifter>pdx drifter>dlo>repeat. I will hit that one too, although it may take a little while . . . we'll see.

I broke the symposium reverse whirl record last night. Please hassle FunkLovesFootbag by posting unnecessarily in his blog (make it seem like you think he's getting good  ) until he puts the video of it online.

my latest 32s. The green bag with multicolored pents has 4/8 stitches per side rather than 3/6. Took a long time to make it that way. I like these bags a lot, fun colors. What do you think?

I think, I'm in loooove :P I really like those color combinations. I'm not crazy about the odd leapard colors, but other than that, I really like your color combinations. Oh, btw, the bag you stitched for me is turning out great. It's pretty thick, so it is taking a bit longer, but it will definitely go for the long hawl and be a great bag. I never did take my time to come in your blog and thank you for it, and just meeting you. A most great experience and I wish we were seperated by hundreds and hunreds of miles of land. Goodluck with your ankle, and take care !

Im going to have a session today. I hope it turns out to be pretty intense. Just me and FunkLovesFootbag. These are my goals for the session. I am hoping to hit at least 8-10 of them, but i dont know what's a reasonable estimate because it could potentially take hrs and hrs to hit all of this stuff. Anyway, Im just posting it here to motivate me to actually try this stuff. Every one of these drills/combos is either at my current level or a bit beyond, so Ill have to push myself in order to hit them. After the session, I'll report on which of these I managed to hit. Red means hit, blue means unable to complete and green means not attempted:

1) Pixie leg>Magellan>rpt>pixie pickup>pixie ss pickup>rpt
2) Rubberman x2
3) Blubberman (3 times)
4) fairy legover x4
5) fairy legover>fear>fairy drifter (bs)

6) fear>fairy illusion>fairy tap>rpt
7) smear pixie ss>rpt>fear> fairy ss>rpt>atomsmasher>tap>rpt>toe blur>slapping ss>rpt
8 ) blur> smear> fear>atom smasher>legbeater> rpt >rubberman
9) 15 pdx whirls
10) pdx whirl>whirl (2,3,4)>pdx whirl>whirl(2,3,4)
11) pdx whirl>pdx drifter (10 contacts)
12) toe drifter>pdx egg>toe drif>bubbabeater> rpt
13) toe drifter>pdx dlo>toe drif>dlo> rpt

14) fear x6 both sides
15) smear x10 flip
16) smear>fear (8 contacts bs)
17) flip smear>Magellan>smudge>pixie ss pickup>pixie ss illusion (bs)
18 ) atomic legover>tapping leg>rpt
19) atomic pickup>tapping pickup>rpt
20) tapping legover x6
21) torque>p drifter>torque>nuc clipper>symp wh.

I got really close to about half of the combos that were just "too physically demanding" (in blue), usually hitting them on one side but not the other, otr just falling one or two tricks short of the specified number of contacts. I hope to hit those soon. I also hit bedwetter (flip)> smoke, which was nice, and sealed it to torque. I also hit stepping swirl>stepping clip, which was cool. most of the session was devoted to missing the  combos in blue
