Net Training Sessions in Viikki
Sunday, October 23rd
Me, Janne, Jani, Jaakko, Jukka and Tuomas Karki!
First five played and Tuomas was working with his knee. No drills whatsoever, just playing doubles as usual. Good games, nothing special. I think five players is ideal for a two hour session. It was also good to see Tuomas working hard with knee rehab.

Yep. Although, I'm kind of used to playing with meself.footbinc wrote:Man, it must be nice to have more than yourself to play with
Yep. He used to do threesomes with Matti and Oskari while living in Turku.footbinc wrote:Oh, and did I mention Mikka Kiprusoff is a fag?
No, no, Olli, don't let yourself get carried away with this BS. You have to concentrate on net related stuff. And I'm not talking about that inter-net stuff. Concentrate...

Sunday, October 30th
Me, Jani, Jaakko, (Jukka and Tuomas not playing), Liukko brothers, Timo Vorne and Mikko Poikonen.
We had four visitors from Jyväskylä. The games were decent. Jyväskylä posse had improved quite a bunch. What else? ...Good ping-pong (table tennis) games between the net matches!

Me, Jani, Jukka and Janne playing. Tuomas and Jaakko not.
I cannot say it wasn't fun. It always is. But frankly I thought about going home after an hour. My legs felt so heavy and nothing really worked for me. I was still exhausted after running my ass off in two floorball matches on Saturday (and sipping some beer after that). Anyway, I don't think anyone else was too pleased with their playing either.
We (Me, Jani, Jaakko, Janne) did a small footbag net demo on an elementary school in a Helsinki suburb on Thursday. The kids liked it a lot and we had to sign autographs to 10-year-old girls after our demo!

We had two sessions.
The first one was in the afternoon at Arena Center. It was me, Jani, Janne, Matti Pohjola, Oskari Forstén and Tapio Karhunen present. (The last three from Turku area.) Good training for the Finnish Open which is in a week! I played for the first time with Tapio with whom I'm playing next weekend. We must be underdogs in the competition, but beware you guys. We're gonna run over you!
The second session was in the evening as usual. Same players present, except Jaakko came in as a substitute for Janne. (And Tuomas carrying on with his knee rehab.) I have to say that Jaakko is perhaps the hottest player at the moment. (And I'm not talking about him being HOT in a way that Matti would.
) Anyway, Jaakko looks solid and is spiking really well. Also Matti and Oskari are tough as a team. They make the least mistakes and they both can spike and dink, as well.
I'm really looking forward to next weekend. I just have to kill this flu that's been bothering for over two weeks now. Anyway, see you guys in Kuopio!

What if Matti got to the final but somehow "wouldn't be able" play? Is that enough?footbinc wrote:Just don't forget our "deal" if Matti is in the finalShipping M&M's aint cheap.
And what do I get if I stick to "the plan"? Would you mind travelling to Calgary and getting Kiprusoff's autograph for me?
