wow! thanks everyone for the nice comments..And especialy Matt, camp Irish was definatly the highlight of the year, so glad you could make it!
My birthday/xmas went over pretty well...I've been a little bumbed cause all my bay area friends have been out of town, but luckily some late night chat conversations have kept me smiling
My diet has been realy good latelty and its amazing how much losing some wieght can help ones shuffle game. fogs and bedwetters are getting pretty standard, and I've just been feeling realy strong when I play...Wich sadly has been limited because inside shred is a no-no and its been raining off and on...I THOUGHT THIS WAS CALIFORNIA..hahaha. Well as I posted in the new tricks section(first time in forever) I hit a bunch of dod swirls. It pays to be patcient learning new moves cause that way when you DO learn the move you can own it...Hopefuly I own that move and will start on paradon swirl as well...Oh yeah after posting in the hit but can't do thread, and partly inspired by the incredible MR Mirk, I hit a bunch of grifters too.
Well heres to hoping my back and knees stay healthy for the next year, and to hoping I can make some east coast tourneys, U GUYS ROCK!!!! I'm looking forward to getting back to eugene and throwing down with James Erickson, in many ways... His GF will be out of the country for a while so maybe it will give him some motivation to pump out some videos. Thad be fun.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!

I'm back in Oregon now and hopefuly James Ericksons back will heal. My body's feeling good and look forward to training away the winter months. Maybe I'll post a "lookback" blog entry like some of our fellow fizziedians do so well...Probably not!

School is back in session and I'm at work killing time on the computer. I have been waking up every morning and kicking LIGHTLY for 20 min b4 I have breakfast. Its helped alot. And when I say light I mean light, 2s and BOPs only!!! Save the rest for later in the day. I also have been eating around 5-6 meals a day..Like I make a big meal than break it up into 3 portions and eat 1 every 3 hours. Definatly taking my energy and fitness threw the roof... Ohhh yeah I'm poor as hell this term because of a slight miscalculation last term so beer and herb is no longer apart of my vocabulary..Save trips to James' place... AND I can't afford to go out to eat so I'm gunna be one lean SOB the next time any of you see me.
New to the shred game.
Fairy eggbeater
barfly swirl
pdx grifter
I've hit all of those midrun so I'm thinkning they will be a bigger part of my game.. Not like atomic where no matter how many times I school/hit it, it never shows up in my shred. rev whirls are also starting to feel natural.
Music is going well, girls are pretty non existant, and I work with no bosses around..Overall things are good. I work again sunday..till then...

My supervisor is here during my Sunday shift, so I have to prettend I'm working instead of posting here, which is a bit of a bummer because things have been feeling great.
So on Saturday I did some solo public shred. I was kicking and these two girls came up and one said "my boyfriend does that", I laughed thinking she meant hack and I asked "does he call it footbag?" And she replied "YES!"
Will Rocky??? from wisconsin??? Not sure about either but thats vaguly what I remember. Maybe I've met him, maybe hes on here... Not sure but she said she'd tell him about me....
Anyway that session was a good shuffle session and I managed to hit:
pdx whirl>stepping whirl
and ripwalk>stepping whirl>ripwalk
along with some 20 contact basic shuffle stuff... I thought I was invicible that day but my body let me know otherwise on sunday and today.... It might also have to do with the fact that I drank both nights.... I did some dancing to a twelve piece funk band, which was remotely fun even though I'm sure I looked like a fool. Consequently I got very little sleep as well... Thus my game was a bit sluggish today.
Treat ones body well and it will treat you well!!!! saddly the opposite is also true.
I'm fine tuning the angles my legs make when I do moves...I think thats one of the most important parts of a good style, apealing window angles....
New moves since saturday:
fairy same: dlo, drifter and whirl
weak pixie ss double down
paradon swirl
weak grifter
It feels very good to hit new moves again...I seem to go about 6 months without hitting anything new, and then boom, pump out about a dozen new moves, and about 3 will stick in my shred vocab. Strong fairy is in there for sure, with dd swirls and grifters pretty likely to stay consistent.
Have a nice day

Whoa! That's crazy. Will is on modified, his username is Rockey. He's in the FTB so he mainly posts in that blog. And his girlfriend Sophie does go to school in Oregon so your story checks out hehe. Crazy
Props on your game btw. Later

I have been shredding hard and alot. I have found the art of stretching and treating ones body right to be very nice. My game feels like it is going somewhere.
I had a most excelent trip to portland on valentines day, and indulged in the finer things in life, but quickly got back on track and have had 2 killer sessions since. I find taking days off is incredibly improtant. Kicking while sore and tired is to furstrating to be worth it.
My senior recital has been schedualed for may 27th. This should be my MAIN focus but with the sun out it'll be tough... Have fun at CSS!!!!!

I have some time to kill burning cd's so I thought I'd go into a bit more detail of how things have been lately.
On a very positive note james Erickson has recently quiet drinking and is once again kicking very steadily. His improvment from a few weeks ago is remarkable and is a true sign of how removing something that controles ones life can have such positive effects.
My shred has been much more genuine of late. I'm getting more comfortable with grifters and also sets before moves like whirls and double downs have been mid shuffle. Spins and ducks are more rare, but I would realy like to start dialing in spining whirl, mobius, ect... Superfly and fairy are now in my game.
So I've written down a yoga routine that I do twice a day. It took almost a week to feel "goog" after the routine, but now I find it very satisfieing and it realy helps me wake up and cool down at night. Not to mention the more flexable you are the more it looks like Vasek when you look down mid shuffle.
Nick Landes is getting crazy good. He is a natural talent and his consistancy is improving tremendously. I can't wait to see how far his game goes!
I'm still kicking in lavers however I am very tempted to get some gunits just because of the frustration I feel while kicking on hardwood floor. I just can't GRIP!!!! I love kicking on carpet or pavement and sadly CSS is the only carpet tourney that exsists seems like and I have to miss it this year.... Poor me.
OK well I told myself I wasn't going to shred today and I know I'll be happy with that desission tomorrow. It was very nice reading that Jorden likes rest too. I thought all the top shredders shredded all the time??? haha
