Double ATW (DATW)

Double ATW (DATW)
TOE >> SAME IN/OUT [DEX] > SAME IN/OUT [DEX] > SAME TOE [DEL]

I can pretty much get the double dex parts...I just can't finish and stall it, or my second dex hits the bag away. Any advice?

Like atw its a nice smooth relaxed motion. You don't have to whip you leg around if you have the motion down and get a good set. Keep it close to you body, it makes it harder if the bag is 3 ft in front of you. Just keep on trying. Pointing my toes up help me stall easier too.

Yeah I see how it is not a speed thing. At first I kept trying to go as fast as a could and I ended up doing nothing constructive. Then I remembered someone told me to do a normal/slightly faster speeded first dex then a faster second dex, and someone else said to kind of slam my foot down after both dexes to catch it. I still haven't hit it yet but it should come soon.

I have the same problem with double atw's
and i keep drilling the motion, to make
my body realize, that the move is truly
more about timing then it is about speed.

Should i practice dbl atw and magellan in
a certain order ? would it help to learn one
of those first, in order to learn the other
one quicker ?

AH! I am so close! I kept the set closer to me and OH! it is exciting/frustrating. I need to stop spinning an extra like 10 or 20 degrees to stall the bag. I has been falling right beside my foot!

it also might help to do a tiny hop with you support leg or even just lift your heel off the ground and go on to your toes.
Hopefully back one day.

i just hit datw yesterday

it was odd, i tried the night before, and couldnt get close, than the next day i hit it second try.

its not a matter of practicing really, just get it in your muscle memory and it will come soon enough

lol... it depends which are you better at. I'm not answering the pool.

If you are good at pixie, then in-out would suit you better.

And you should fill the bottle with water.
1½ or 2 liters bottles work best.

This is the way I learned:

Set>STOMP!!!>atw

once this gets smooth-you have the muscle speed to double dex
