Had an awesome 2.5 hour solo sess last night. i got Vortex and Mobius down both sides. I hit them both BSOS, as well as Vortex>Mobius one side. i footed it like 6 times on the other side. haha i got Vortex>Mob...ugh...bail to gyro mirage so im going to hit it soon.

i also hit an array of gyro drills including gyro mirages, gyro clippers, ducks, dives, gyro reverse mirage, frigid mirage and some other things. i finally really figured out my gyros, and i hit every trick i tried out of them. im going to start working on gyro ducking and diving stuff alot soon.

just a reminder, I'm going to play today too. I thought I was going to take like 3 days off but I could only stand one day. I'm addicted to footbag!

I played a littler earlier. i planned on having a long session, but my stepmom came home and took my dad and i out to dinner. so i only played for like a half hour or so...i worked on hitting spinning symp mirage, and came real close to hitting it bs. i think i would had it if i kept playing, hopefully ill get it next session. that trick feels so cool.

The resturant i went to served me beer 8O i got a Smithwick's. it was a really smooth tastey irish amber. it felt awesome drinking a beer at a restaurant seeing as how im 19 haha. hopefully i can go drink there since the waitress knows me now.

i plan on another solo sess tomorrow. ill update.

i received the G6s that i got off of chris today so i laced em up imediatley and then had my first G6 shred session.

I really liked them. It didn't take very long to adjust to them at all. The clippers really are great, and i didn't notice any difference in the toe really. Accept that my sets were straighter, and my atomics felt easier. My zoomings and frigid sets got alot stronger too. zooming butterfly seems waaaay to easy.

I didn't hit anything new, because i didn't play very long. i've been feeling kinda sick all day so i ran out of energy real quick.

The G-units have soooo much more grip then lavers. the floor i was playing on is terrible in my lavers. i slip soo much, and the soles have absolutley no wear. I didn't slip once with the G-units. i had Full traction which is very nice for a change.

oh man i love my G6s. i really try out those reebok Pastime IIs though. i searched Ebay but couldn't find a pair. that would be sick if they are just like g6s but lighter.

had a good session the other day. willie was hitting soooo much crazy stuff. i couldn't believe it.

my shuffle was feeling really good which is nice, because its always sucks. i think the g6s helped it a bunch. i footed gravedigger>symp whirl a couple times.

highlight was hitting tapping torque first try ever. i can't remember what else.

Had a solo session yesterday, but only played for like 45 minutes and hit absolutley nothing good. it feels like soloing has been such a chore latley. maybe its because i've only been playing a couple times a week. im going to try and play atleast a little bit for the next 5 days straight and see if my consistancy goes up.

Anyone have any strategies to approach soloing with?

for soloing, I wouldn't start out with 5 days straight. Maybe 3 days straight, 60-90 minutes per day, then a day off. Personally, I'd work up to 5, but then, my old creaky bones probably can't compete with your fresh young ones ;) Stretch and ICE before or after sessions... stretch everything, ice problem areas for 20 minutes of a time, it helps SOOOO much, you'll like it. eat a good breakfast with fruits and some cereal for good shred energy, and make sure you've digested it before you play.

These things all help me solo more, and I've been playing a LOT lately.

when I solo, trying new tricks always help me keep going. Just trying single new tricks and then attempting in shred. Go slow and take short breaks after long strings.

We have to play this weekend for sure, it scuks not being able to have a 3 man circle all the time. We should film too :D

P.S. - How are the G6's treating yah?

Watch 100bars right before and get a good hip hop mix. That always gets me really pumped to solo. Haha.
