When I first started out, I used some which I liked a lot. They were 4 panel grateful dead hackey sack tm hackey sacks, and they were made out of some slippery material like nylon. They were my first step away from crotchet bags and into the world of panelled footbags. Not that bad a bag for beginners really.

I started out using one - I think it was a striker or something. It got me interested in the sport, so it can't be all bad right?

I still have one, it sits in my cabnet and looks pretty cool, rounds out my collection.

I've played with those!! They broke in extremely fast and were really soft, not what you would expect from a Hacky Sack product. They were very slippery though and not durable at all. Every one I've owned busted a stitch.

I've also played with one of the original 2 panel bags when I frist started hacking. That thing was horrible.

I have a Hacky Sack tshirt, formerly belonging to Peter Irish, that says, "Can you keep it up?" on the front, and "Hacky Sack Hack Attack" on the back... It's very silly. I think I MAY have seen a Hacky Sack, like, once ever too.

My first footbag was the hacky sack striker that I got for christmas. I thought it was a "real" one. The thing didn't break in and is wicked hard to stall.

The pink one right? It was that vinyl type material with the teddybear stuffing? Like the most anti-stallable material anyone could ever think of? It actually kicked like ass too. No, the original Hacky Sack was bunk man, if that's the one you're talkin about. Somebody needs to pull up a gif so we're all talkin about the same thing.

i've had some pink/blue/white hackey sacks.. they're ok for kicking, not too full really, and they never really break in. Much better than a crocheted bag if all you want to do is kick.

If they were heavier I think they might be freestylable to some degree

while working at a camp this summer a camper gave me a hacky sack. It was crochet with a leather patch.

I've no idea. If it was this past Funtastiks, then no. My girlfriend bought it from him for me the Christmas before this past.

This is the oldest hackysack I own. Probably from 1992 or 1993. It's pretty hard leather and stuffed very full. That's as flat as it is possible to make it, and it's impossible to stall. Acutally, at this point it doesn't even kick very well, as its sort of stuck in that shape.

It is says "HACKY SACK OFFICIAL FOOTBAG" on it, although it's pretty faded now.
