More rahchestah stuff...

It was fun, new years came, I kissed Peng :D , chatted with people, sleep.
blah blah I forget what happened.

I have a bunch of footage that I am gonna make into a video once I work out some technical difficulties.

Here's the big big news that's going on in my life right now.

The Footbag Shoe is SERIOUSLY underway now!

Like.. this is actually going to happen people.

I had my first group meeting with the project team last night and it was so great. We are all really enthused and the group chemistry is awesome. They were keen to get the work we had to do done and I got to be the director guy since I am the one with all the background knowledge.

It was so cool to be discussing this stuff that has been building up inside me for over a year now, all these ideas that I NEEDED to get out of me are finally coming out and are being taken seriously. This is my thesis project, this is what I prove myself as an engineer with, what a dream come true!

Also, this whole thing is happening because of Steve from Duncan toys, everyone one day will regard the moment duncan came into our world as a glorious world changing time. They are a company with enough money to produce this shoe, but not some faceless conglomerate that is only here to rape our beloved sport. This is a good thing.

I will be graduating this year with a very usefull degree.. I want to start a footbag shoe company ASAP! Ive already got the name... CHOICE KICKS. 8)

I want to sponsor players and have pro models and all that stuff, this is going to rule!

Peng is so supportive of all these things that I do, she's really the best. I don't know how I got so lucky in meeting Peng.. but I am glad I did, I guess I cashed in all my good karma.

Also, she doesn't hate me for always insisting she pull my finger when i have to fart.

Yesterday I had a fun kick session with Peng and Jared in my back shred room, it was really enjoyable. We would each kick it at least once and I would yell out "FULL HACK!" and almost everytime we'd drop it just as I said that.
Jared and I played this game of seeing how many contacts we could pound a net bag at the wall without it touching the ground. We played a similar game with a tennis ball but it was allowed to bounce, we kinda sucked.

Oh yeah! In the middle of my footbag shoe group meeting we had a hack session and got a full hack! we decided that every meeting should have at least one full hack for team spirit building. My group is really great, we laugh alot and enjoy our time together 'working'.

This shoe is going to be so amazing, I'm serious!

Ive kinda sucked at footbag lately.. not sure why.

Occasionally for fun Ive shredded a little in my lavers (with sidewalls! 8O ) and I hate it! I can only go tiltless with any confidence, you losers that wear lavers suck! You're stupidly holding yourself back and HURTING your bodies, don't ever fucking complain of injuries if you are wasting your time with fucking lavers. You are doing it to yourself and you deserve NO pity, fucking change the thing that is doing the damage, aka your stupid beloved shoes. I still wear lavers for WALKING shoes, but I wouldn't dare spend more than a few minutes shredding in them because I don't want to injure myself!

Sorry, didn't mean to rant.. it's just.. it's just so sad to see so many shredders that are out with injuries that are caused by the shoes they love so much. If you need the exact shape of lavers then get g-units! You get all the laver advantages PLUS grip and energy rebound! Save yourself!

Today the footbag shoe group is delivering our first oral presentation to introduce the project to the other students and all the profs involved. Sweeeeeeet.

I'm excited you're excited about the shoes. But people please, don't act like he "deserves" all of the good things that may be set in motion or whatever. Actually, I don't know how to say what I'm feeling right now. There is no disrespect here, just a voice of reason saying that this sport won't have its own shoe overnight. When I read some of the posts the younger or less experienced footbag players make regarding developments with these shoes you're making Mosh, I just feel like they're setting themselves up for disappointment. You can be as positive as you like, but remember some of your audience takes you more literally than others. I will believe these shoes when I see them, and if I do see them, I'll look at them like 8O

i think there will beinjuries even with this bombad special footbag shoe tom and his group is designing.only the shoe isnt protecting you.but the climas are better cussioned(sp?)than the lavers.so in the end you might(!) be able too avoid injuries that come from heavy pressure to the knee f.E.,that is caused by insuffitient attenuation by the shoe you are wearing.

but this all just dont protects you from things like sprain the ankle because of a wrong landing technique,or broken tail bone because you slipped out on your sweat....what i wanna say is,u need to differentiate the injuries that you can get while playing bag.some can be avoided by propper shoes, other not!

All comments are appreciated.

I obviously can't expect to make something perfect first shot, but we should rejoice that this ball is finally really in motion. A shoe is going to get made for footbag and that is step one, you know?

It's impossible to satisfy everyone with one product, but my goal is to put an honest effort towards producing something much better than what we already have to work with.

Have faith in me that I will do my very best, and don't waste any time getting your hopes too high.

I just read the last 3 pages of your blog. Great to get caught up on what's going on.

It's awesome that you have such a great "friend" in Peng.

Your Rochestah write up was great, and I'm pretty stocked about the shoe.

As always, your blog was a pleasure to read.

Life has been so good lately.

Ive had regular meetings with the footbag shoe group, we did the first oral presentation of the project to the professors and the class this week, it went well.

It always makes me so happy that this project has actually happened! This is something I wanted so bad for so long.

Here's a funny story, Peng and I were walking down the street holding hands and we passed this group of people I kiiiiiiiiinda know and as we passed Peng overheard one of them say "Isn't he gay?".

Here's another short funny story, Peng and I were having dinner at a chinese restaurant. Over the past few weeks I have been learning some bits of chinese and so when our food came Peng walked me through each one telling me the name and then I would repeat it. She was like "We call this one wemkrnwskldjf;9" then I would repeat "wemkrnwskldjf;9" and we did that for a few dishes then we got to the General Tao Chicken, she said "and we call this one" (*in a thick exadgerated chinese accent*) "generaw tao chicken."

On the footbag side of things Ive been kinda.. uhm.. sucky lately!

Sometimes I feel strong and confident.. but far too often I feel weak and tired and sketchy.

Last night was a fun KFM meeting until I lightly twisted my ankle drilling whirling swirls.

I had one insane run though, I accomplished something Ive always wanted to do.

I hit DDD, DOD, paradon and barfly all BSOS in OS. :D

The other day Derrick and I both hit whirlygig bs the same night. I still find that so insane, my little prodigy and I both hit the same six add for both of our first times AND we both hit it BS since it's the KFM way.

Life is good.

I am kinda blue though because Peng is in Toronto for the weekend.

I spend basically all my free time with Peng.. it's the best, I am in love! :D

I like the card game Magic: The Gathering.

Peng has always been a big enthusiast and now I appear to be getting into it too. I figured it was worth giving a shot, I mean Peng has made a huge effort towards getting into my big passion in life, I may as well give the magic thing a shot. Not to say m:tg is her main passion in life, it's just something she really enjoys, that I admit appears to have merrit, that we can enjoy together.

Last night I hung out with Peng's roomate Joel and it was great fun! We drank some beers and some rum and smoked a few bongs and played lots of racketbag! We filmed some so that might get made into a video.
After we were all spent from shragging (racketbag word for shredding) we relaxed and played some games of magic. I still kinda suck but I am slowly learning the finer details of how the cards work and when I should play what with what.

I think the best racketbag trick last night was one we were both working on and I eventually sealed, it's called Home on the Range.
You set the racket (I know it's actually spelled racquet, don't care though) and the bag up together (called a release) spin 180 and catch it with the same hand through your legs behind you.

We also discovered last night that you can basically play squash in my shred room! Jared and I have been playing lots of ball sports back there involving kicking a soccer ball or tennis ball or takraw or net bag or whatever but last night Joel and I used a punctured tennis ball and our squash rackets and had a sweet game! I love my shred room! It's so sweet looking with graffiti all over it and stuff. I added a cool new dimension to the room last night too, CRAYONS!

In the room I lived in the last three years in my house (now Jared's room) I let people draw all over my doors with crayons and the result after months and months of drawing was a crazy technicolour mural. I want that same effect all over the shred room. The fact that the crayons are not as bold as markers or spraypaint means that more people will feel brave enough to scribble some stuff on my walls and it will look crazy sick in no time!

I had a shred yesterday, it was mostly drilling though so I didn't hit much new cool shit. The only thing I can remember is pixie paradon>ripwalk both sides, that was kinda cool.

I drilled lots until I was exhausted, I am real chubby right now and I wanna burn off all my grossness and get superhot. I did lots of situps and chinups and some curls and then I warmed down with some barefoot drilling.

I CAN'T DLO ANYMORE! raaahhh!!!

I worked my eggbeaters some, I want to have them sweet. I hit egg>ss egg>ss egg once, that was kinda cool.

bleh, enough blog, I need to go keep studying.
I failed 2 of my 4 classes last semester and I have been given the chance to rewrite the final for one of them on the 31st.. I better not fail again!

I am not stoked on the shifts Ive been getting at work lately. This is the third week in a row that the only 2 shifts I got were saturday & sunday 5 - 12.

It totally makes it feel like I don't have a weekend.

Ah well, I need a job to pay for living so I have to take what I can get.
Perhaps I should find a better job? hmm...

Peng comes home tonight! yippee!!!
Hopefully I will get off work early and get to see her sooner rather than later. I got SO lucky in finding her, Ive never been in a relationship like this before, it's so foreign and strange since it's... healthy!

We just hang out all the time laughing and goofing off and being happy and it's just shitloads of fun!

She's sane, smart, witty, painfully cute and she does cool things and makes shit happen. What a girl!

Last night I played some footbag after I got home from work. It was mostly a hack session, I was drilling all my kicks and jesters and super jesters and shit, I want to be an ultimate hacker!

I should drill pendulums! geeez I always forget!

I was playing in lavers so there wasn't really much shred happening. I drilled lots of individual components so that next time I shred I will be a little better at all of them.

I need to drill more often.

I have to run to work, my shift starts in three minutes.

Here is a picture of two new bags:

Image

Pengpeng on the far left in the background, Squeegee Bucket (made by Peng, insane choice right away, sadly missing), Panda (made by me).

Panda Monium is a totally new style bag for me, it is the exact same as my favourite stitch except I made it significantly looser and filled it with the new filler pengpeng and I came up with. Sooooo juicy and soft and plush and delish.

Shit, It's 5 PM and my shift started now.

Gotta run! :D :P

PS I LOVE how Peng pushes my stitching so much and how she comes up with all these new amazing ideas! It's so great to have someone to bounce my ideas off. :D

:D Life is sweeeeeeet lately! :D

Derrick and I fucking killed it the last two sessions (yesterday and today) and we hit fuckloads of new shit!

Here's my highlight reel:

- rip>rip>blurry whirl x 3 midstring
- osis>pdx drifter rpt (with jon haber in mind)
- blurry whirl x 5
- blurriest x 3
- matador>blurry whirl>blurriest
- food midstring
- footed smog>pixie paradon bs
- frenzy!
- PS Whirl BSOS

Derrick is fucking insaaane!

He is using these two things for the upcoming comps so don't read them if you don't want the surprise to be ruined. After he hit superfly yesterday he came out all raring to use it all over the place. For a sick three he hit on tape blur>phoenix>superfly!!! 8O And then for a sick 1 he hit mother-fucking TORCH-R-RACK! And this is a fucking kid that just found me in a parking lot shredding one night and he has accomplished all this!

Oh yeah and he beat me to fucking scorpions tail! he hit it today, he and I have been so close for so long.

Derrick and I are going to get so good and push eachother so far.

I love being in love too!!!!!!!!

Pengpengpengpengpeng is the fucking greatest. She's so good to me. Really generous and kind and helpful and I do my best to be all the same great things for her.

She has been making some REAAAALLLY nice bags lately too! She's just so fucking talented in general, she's good at stuff!

I love having a girlfriend!! Especially one that loves me and isn't all crazy and shit. Peng is the first girl Ive ever been close to that hasn't turned out to be completely mental.

Hehe and she's soooo adorable! :D

I went all of today without smoking any pot or drinking any booze, go me!

Peng is so supportive of me. I like how she takes good care of me and how she's able to put up with so much of me. I am alot to handle sometimes and she is amazingly tollerant of my retardedness. :)

I'm gonna go snuggle with my baby, peace modified.

PS check out kingstonfootbag.com (click my sig) !!!!!!!!!!!!! 8O Peng has put in LOTS of REALLY hard work and she totally redid the site, it's tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight now! I put in a little work too.. but no nearly enough. :D :D :D
