Repost: CSS4

Post by Muffinman »

I uploaded this video for someone and figured I may as well share it here too. It's a video I made from CSS4. So I guess you could consider it a taste of CSS7, which everyone should go to!! It's really crappy quality, because I couldn't tell back then, and it's pretty lacking in the editing department, but that's because I was focusing on getting the video out, like, the day I got back from Colorado 8)

http://www.hackrifice.com/shred/temp/ha ... e-css4.wmv
40 megs, and about 19 minutes

(Lots of people hated the music when I first posted it, so be warned... On the other hand lots of people loved it...)
Mostly Lon and Ahren, but also some Chad (I love Chad) and Penske. I had made 3 other videos too (with Allan, early Justin Dale, Windsor, etc, so if someone wants I can upload those after I take this down or something.

Thanks for the upload, Erik. I haven't seen this before.

If and when you get around to it, I would love to see the video including early Justin footage.

thanks for uploading, and thanks for the warning about the awful music and video quality. The completely insane shredding makes up for any complaints i might have had about that stuff.

This is, in fact, the greatest soundtrack to have ever been on any online shred video, ever. Look in the textbooks, people. It's been common knowledge since this video was released.

Set the world in fiiiyah
I'll do anytinggg to get what I want, yeah I'm gonna
Hang even hiiiiyah
I'll do anything... to beeee the one.

So inspirational!

Thanks Chan, that was a great video.

Good things: The Shred. The Penske Truck (whenever I see one of those I think of Jim). The Hotel Room Scene- for some reason I just really liked it.

Bad Things: The video Quality.

The music was good. Had no problems with it. It's great to see CSS4 footage. When I first downloaded video's there was a bunch of CSS4 footage, so it was like my first taste of freestyle. Now I love seeing footage from that tourny.

I'd like to see your other video's from it.

wow! blast from the past. I'm so glad that you posted this vid. it was one of the very first vids I received when I first started kicking. I lost it a few months later and had flat out forgotten about it. I had no idea what moves they were doing when I first had this vid, but now that I can tell what moves are being executed I came to the realization of how frickin hard they tore it up at that tournament. Such a high level of play. Jim's alpine blurry drifter?! thanks mr chan

Thanks guys.
Yeah, this tournament was so big. Lon had set the PS whirl record there, and this was before Vasek really started going off. One of my favourite parts was that Lon was eating while hitting all those fearless combos 8O
I wrote lineups for the next couple videos, but I tried to upload and it won't even let me until I take this one down, I think...so unless I get around that I'll wait a few more days. Here are the lineups:

Ben fell off for a while, but him, Justin Dale, and myself shred at least once a week these days. Looking forward to the vids, Erik, thanks!
