Do you smoke tobacco?

Post by Anz »

Answer the poll please and/or discuss.
Remember, we are talking about tobacco here, not marijuana.

I have been a party smoker for like 3 years now. It has always felt like alcohol and tobacco belong together. Now I made a new years resolution that I quit all the somking except in very special occasions when being abroad when I totaly cannot resist it.

Yeah down with smoking. Seeing your Pa die painfully and slowly from emphasema(sp?) has a great way of putting you off ciggarettes. Never tasted.

I smoked it in Europe this summer, and a few times when I got back. Then, about a month ago, I started adding it to spliffs all the time, but when I noticed that it had an immediately detrimental effect on my shred, I dropped it again. Tobacco is no good for shred.

I have started to smoke again after about 6 months of cold turkey quiting. Contrary to the obvious belief, my shred has actually got better. Also, I can think back to when I smoked before, I was probably better then. Or maybe it's just because I got this new sweet ass wheel bag, who knows for sure ....

Yeah. Here's the recipe:

Ingredients: 12 cannelloni , 1 lb. veal chuck , 2 lbs. spinach , ¼ lb. ham , 2 eggs , 2 Tbs. butter , 2 Tbs. flour , ½ cup milk , salt, white pepper , pinch nutmeg , 4 Tbs. grated parmigiano , 1 cup meat ragù
Follow the basic technique to make and cook the cannelloni. Prepare the stuffing, roast the veal and cook the spinach, squeezing out excess water. Chop and mix the veal and ham together with spinach, eggs, salt, pepper, pinch of nutmeg and 2 Tbs. parmigiano. Use a food mixer to achieve a smooth stuffing. Prepare a bechamel by combining butter with flour, then adding the milk slowly, add a pinch of salt, pepper and nutmeg. Prepare a meat sauce as in ragù bolognese. Roll the stuffing in the cannelloni and arrange into a buttered baking dish. Pour over first the bechamel, then the beef ragù sprinkle with grated parmigiano, dot with butter and bake at 375 F. for 20 minutes

and at least take 600packs of tobacco and refine it!

It's delicious! try it! :D

I really want to try making tea from it...

I'm already addicted to regular teas. Wonder anyone has tried this yet...Smoking is too hazardous.

I dislike tobacco very much. I don't really like the taste or the smell. The only time i've smoked it is when people put it in spliffs, and i think it makes the joint worse when you do that, but i sucked it up

Just had a pretty heated discussion on this on another forum I belong to. I basically concluded that cigarettes are no worse than anything else you breathe in walking down the street in any major city, and that the government is hypocritical for trying to ban cigarettes in public places and public streets, while allowing hazardous chemicals to float into the air.

Cigarette's are a personal choice, and if you're the type to bitch about having to walk behind someone who's smoking, then you should either cross the street or man up and deal with it. Second hand smoke only has the chance to effect those who are constantly around smokers (IE family, and friends of smokers), and walking behind someone who's smoking one day out of the year isn't going to take a minute off of your life.

Yeah I smoke cigars from time to time, I'm pretty big into them. I don't smoke cigarettes though. And not cheap cigars either, like Black and Milds and Swishers.

Go for high quality cigars and remember not to inhale. Do it in moderation and you'll be fine.

It's a good thing that you concluded that. Otherwise, it would be a lot more difficult to justify your smoking.

Sure, I agree that it is a personal choice, but it is one that affects others around you. Just don't let that fact that it is a personal choice distract you from the fact that it can be awfully inconsiderate.

I don't know what kind of fairy tale world you live in, but it's no one elses job but your own to keep yourself healthy and happy. Frankly I don't care whether my cigarettes bother you. Cross the street.

I would put my cigarette out for this reason.

I'm an occasional smoker and should've quit when it came time for New Year's. i guess I got back to the habit when it was Finals week last semester for my College, and more intensive recently with the coming of college-required examinations this month. Next semester might change things for me, but I'm uncertain.

And yeah - my shredability is AWFUL. I hate it. I need to stop.
