i was trying zulu clipper after i hit diving, but.. its just so weird to wrap your head around that way and then switch feet.. its gonna take a little time. what do you mean by p. pickups?

yeah, zulu is kind of weird like that :)
When I do them, i sort of get get down a little lower than a dive, get the dex out of the way, and then straighten back up, and position for clipper. Once you get that down, going zulu clip (rpt) is fun.
good luck.

p. pickup
paradox pickup. i.e. from right foot clipper, set the bag, dex in to out with the right foot, then delay on the right toe.

Sooo i hit a few new things...

:D ...

symp whirl 5 or 6 times sealed on my strongside, a few more unsealed. got it on camera but its so dark you cant see the dex clearly.

toe whirl multiple times both sides
paradox whirl
p whirl>clipper>clipper>whirl>clipper
butterfly>p whirl two or three times

almost hit clipper>ducking whirl
i might have hit flail.. the dex was either around my foot or just around my ankle.. but i think i came up short.

crispy torque, ripwalk
symp pixie>dlo

some other stuff but those are the highlights.
:D :D :D :D :D :D

forgot, came real close to zulu clipper.

I am stoked because Fletcher is stoked.

And I don't even use the word 'stoked' on a regular basis.

In other word, fat props.

P.S.

zulu clipper for the first time, only strongside though.

some whirls, one clean symp whirl, 2 paradox whirls... my flip is still awful, but i can hit it from clipper.

19 alternating clippers, best run was about 20 contacts..

ripwalk, blur.. my stepping and atomic need soooooo much work. fun session .

Thanks! :D I forgot to mention I watched some really old footbag videos in san francisco including some home videos ahren gehrman made of the first tournament he was at, and tricks of the trade 2. It's awesome and amazing and hilarious to see how footbag has progressed over the years.. and how goofy they all used to dress, jesus christ!

for symp whirl i get into streaks where i can dex it perfectly, or i set it too high and end up hitting it with my dexing leg.. i watched a video i made of myself doing it, and i noticed my clipper foot turned so that my toe is pointing to the floor... should i be TRYING to make that happen, or...?

*edit looked it up in trick tips...

" - Set low, emphasies on lowering your clipper foot when you jump upwards for the dex. The clipper doesnt set the bag up. The Jump does. "

this makes sense to me.. kind of what i was figuring is the problem i guess i just have to really focus on not setting it.

1.26.06 laundry room sesh

Post by funklovesfootbag »

session with emily and jeremy in my laundry room.. like 3.5 hours.

hit whirl>osis a few times on my flip whirl side.. which was acting like my strong whirl side tonight. hit flip p whirl for the first time, flip toe whirl
lots of regular whirls both sides but not bsos..

ripwalk>whirl hit but unsealed

dlo>atw

uhmm.. illusion bsos.. bubba.. didnt work on illusion variations as much as i had planned.

diving clipper, ducking clipper.. i dont know i cant remember much.. some work on atomic and a lot of work on stepping. oh, hit ripwalk twice strongside in a run

OH, barrage for the first time.

i fell down again...

attempted symposium atomic set and blrry whirl for first time.

must remember to take challenges with me. fun session...

want to work on next session: ILLUSIONS and variations, whirl combos, stepping, atomic, and osis.

aptos session 1.28.06

Post by funklovesfootbag »

played at the aptos spot with jeremy and emily, then it started to rain so we went back to jeremy's garage. played for like 4 hours.

Hit paradox drifter for the first time :D
toe drifter both sides but flip is sooo weak. i watched Anz tricks tips for drifter and really improved mine working them today.. need a lot more flip work. fun though. footed drifter>pdx drifter.

hit toe torque both sides, torque strong side, and i think footed flipside.
hit toe torque>clipper>clipper>whirl>clipper
DLO, both sides maybe bsos, clipper>dlo both sides but it was a struggle to hit flip. i ended the session yelling until i hit it.

new sick 3: toe drifter>pdx mirage>toe whirl
also was trying toe drifter>pdx drifter>toe torque.. came kinda close.

whirl both sides would have been BSOS but i had a weird knee pain .. on my strong whirl so i had to stop. hit pwhirl once i think.
blur a few times strongside, blur>atw
paradox drifter>osis>osis>osis though they were shaky

butterfly>pdx mirage>opp butterfly>odx mirage 23 contacts
toe ducking clipper and toe ducking butterfly BSOS
clipper>symp mirage BSOS
ducking mirage>diving mirage
ducking toe>ducking toe>spinning toe>atw in a run

worked on sick 10 for a little bit, i think i want to write down exactly what im going to do and then practice all the components and bust it. i kept trying to go too big. i might be sore tomorrow.

That's quite a shopping cart list. Notable props: paradox drifter (SICK!), toe torque>clipper>clipper>whirl>clipper (SICK!), and clipper > DLO [BSOS] (SICK!).

Fat props on the entire session. Yelling until you hit something is the best way to end a session.

Can't wait to see the sick 10 on video.
