im gonna copy hagesy posting format
I had my first sesh the night I got back from Brisbane just after I cut the stitches on my new lavers. The toe walls are such a shock and make my flip pixie all weird so flip pixie has been my main focus latley. Also, Brisbane is so unbelieveably humid atm, it makes it SO hard to have long seshs.
today:
sesh 3:
length: 1hour
Drilled: atomics, osis (they feel weird in new shoes), pixies (also weird)
progress: my atomics are getting better!

I'm going to stick with my own format (whatever that is).
I had a solo session tonight. Caroline didn't turn up, and I haven't heard from her.
I made up a cool mixed CD the other night, and I listened to that.
I mostely shredded (cos the music was cool - good beats, yet not electronica), and only schooled a little. I think I broke my infinity record, but I wasn't counting and I don't know what my old record was
I didn't really hit anything big (steps, quantum, atomic), but mostely just played - ending up with some cool, long runs.
It was probably a 2 1/2 hour session broken up with some circle kicking and teaching a couple of guys some simple tricks (pixies and mirages). Hopefully one (or both) will be back next week.
By the end of the night I had to wring out my shirt. It was as though someone had hosed me down, I was that sweaty.

Session 5
Lenght: 90 minutes
Music: Chris C, Evolve
Drilled: Bops
Assessment: Good progress was made.
New records: Butter>osis>pdx mirage>alt butter (62 contacts)
I equalled my other bop drill (48 contacts)
alt butter>alt butter>pdx mirage> alt butter>alt butter>alt butter>pdx mirage>alt butter>same butter>alt butter>same butter>alt butter>osis>alt butter>alt butter>osis>alt butter>alt butter>osis>pdx mirage>alt butter>alt butter>osis>pdx mirage>alt butter>osis>osis>alt butter>alt butter>alt butter>osis>osis>alt butter>alt butter>pdx mirage>alt butter>alt butter>alt butter>pdx mirage>alt butter>same butter>alt butter>same butter>alt butter>osis>altbutter>altbutter>osis> drop
Consecutive osis record was not broken tonight. It is 30. However i got to 28 five times, and the low twenties alot so my consistency was pretty good. i want to crack 50 by the end of the week, then bring on the pixie drilling.
Gareth Props for your solo session, i know you find them hard, and long runs are awesome.
Jesse i am sure you will be hitting fearless in those shoes in no time.
Thanks for all the support guys.

Good to hear things are still going strong in Brizzy! And Hagz, your a machine!
Hope you guys don't mind me continueing to post my crap in your blog, I kinda like it here
Well I got back to Chirstchurch from aussie and stayed a night at Phil M's house, he was too tired to shred though
we left the next day and arrived in Dunedin to find Johnny Murphy and Floyd Morgan waiting at the bus stop
.
I took them home and we had a wild 5 days of footbag and fun. I got some footage of Johnny but only had the camera for one day so didn't have time to get a real perspective of his game unfortunatly
. Still I got some good strings and insane moves from J-Money and we had a blast!
Thursday we got home, dropped our stuff and caught a taxi to town where we visited a few pubs. The bouncers weren't gonna let us in becuase we had dirty lavers on at one place, but one of them recognised me from Uni and we told him Johnny was NZ champ so he let us in lol
.
Friday we went for a shred in the Octogon and I filmed Johnny as much as I could, he hit some sweet stuff (including an 8add and Mobius>ripstine mid string) and I hit glaucoma(fairy ss dlo) and casket (fairy ss drifter) in the same string
.
Japanese for tea and then home. Friday night and I filmed Johnny trying some big big moves in my living room. Then J$ and Floyd hit the pubs in town and I stayed home to try rip some tapes before my Parents took the DVcam away on holiday the next day!!!
The guys arrived home at 6:30am with some random Maori people who tried to sleep on my couch but aparently left soon after... needless to say it was a pretty sleepless night for poor me :p.
Satuday, we rocked into the Octagon at 2pm (an hour late!) for saturday afternoon shred!) Toby and his brother, our 5 Japanese shreders, a dude called Sam, Johnny Floyd and myself were there, and we shreded and played 4square till about 6pm! It was a really cool day, and Floyd won every game of 4square lol.
Me, Katie, Johnny and Floyd headed home and Floyd invited some German girl round. They had a bottle of apple smernoff which turned out to be gross (I tipped the remaining half of the bottle out this morning!).
Johnny n Floyd went out again while me and Katie stayed home for a quiet night alone
Got up midday sunday and pretty much watched movies all day, I really can't remember where this day went :S. We got mass indian food for tea and had early night.
Monday morning Katie cooked pancakes for breakfast and we booked busses and headed to town to shred with the Japanese guys for a few hours at polytech.
Johnny was going crazy, he hit a bunch of strings oozing with 6's and sick links
. I got sunburnt because I took my top off
.
We got Korean food quickly and ran for the bus stop to see Johnny and Floyd off, played some final hack and had a tearful goodbye
.
Me, Katie and Toby went and got subway and had a shred in the Octogon, I did some butterflies, 10 infinities lol my new record :p.
Toby left and Katie went home and I got groceries and then shreded with some buskers for 20 mins while I waited for my bus (they even paid me lol).
Ok finally last night, I had my first solo session since Aussie nationals! Since Hagsey is a genious i'm gonna copy his idea
.
23/01/2006
Solo Session 1: 30 mins (too much sunburn to shred very long
)
Drilled: Clip set pickups (prep for whirls), Switch (prep for double switch)
Notes: Horrible session lol, stupid sunburn, hit double switch again on good side. Short lazy session, not surprised after already shreding several hours today.
Shred on shredders!

I ordered 2 pairs of blue/white lavers today.
I figure one will be my 'dress shoes' for when I'm going out somewhere special, so they'll stay nice and white for a long time, the second pair will be my casual shoes for whatever, and will be my next shred shoes.
However, my current lavers (everyone at Aus Nats saw 'em) are about 4 years old, and are still going strong! But I figure it's time I got a back-up pair.
Jamie, the reason I had a good solo session was due to some great music with a great beat. I was in a fantastic mood going into the session (having been given a transfer to a closer Bunnings - starting in about 3 weeks), and was pumped from Melbourne.
I really play to the music (like Hagesy does, but without the big tricks or skill
), and just try to focus on the beat. I find that when I do this, if I drop, I'm more inclined to pick the bag up and quickly go on with the shred.
I think this style of play (especially when drilling or schooling) is an excelent method to get more consistant, as your rythem is dictated by the music, so you tend to set the bag more consistantly to the same height.

Solo Session 2: 2 hours 30 mins (Yearly total: 3 hours)
Drilled: Clip set pickups, Switch, flip double dex, eggbeaters, started learning butterfly!!
Notes: 33 contacts of butterfly > pdx mirage, 18 consec infinities. Butterflys are coming along pretty well. Still don't know why i'm doing them :p.
Eggbeater bsos, too lazy to work more on it. Footed flip double out atw. 40 contacts of op clip > pickup. 7 contacts of switch > switch lol. Double switch a few times on good side, still no flip side. Can downtime whirl on flip side... the pickups worked.

i think ive got stress fractures for both my lower shins... Everynow and then they throb with pain, and its tougher to go on tippy toes compared to before nationals. Unbelieavable... aw well, ill give it a week or 2.
I still havent recovered from shin splints from nationals yet, and the session in sydney really killed me, and i really want to start drilling aswell.
