I hope your shinsplints heal soon Jase!

I shreded with Toby and the Japanese guys in the octagon today! They all hit sick1's and sick3's which is super sweet and we had a run length competition. I finally hit 20 guiltless! All I needed was a few butterflies :D

I don't know what the string was but I will take a guess at it now:
Fear > fairy clip > pdx mirage > fear > fairy clip > pdx mirage > butterfly > ducking clip > ducking clip > spinning clip > ducking clip> spinning clip > diving clip > pdx mirage > butterfly > ducking clip > ducking clip > blurry clip > pdx mirage > fairy ss mirage > atomsmasher-drop
:D

butterflys are 4 adds for Nic, they dont count as BOPS either
Nearly 20 GENUINE guiltless :P

Go Hagesy on 52 osis, it seems as though I will have to up my osii-goodness!
How are your ducking/diving osis? Also, how are your osis as bails?
You hardly ever bail though, do you...I dont think I have ever really seen a bail from you, as in having to move for the bag and save it.

Well, I had a sesh lastnight. Wow, I cant believe how incredibly hot it is in Brisbane 8O SOOOO hard to have long sesh's, especially when your tiles get slippery from sweat!

Length: 70mins

Drilled: Atomics/atomic links

Positives: Hit some new atomic links! Atomics are becoming solid enough to rely on in runs

Negatives: I have slight shin splints in my right leg :(

Might sesh tonight...
-Jesse

Props to nic that is some sick shit.

when you can do butterflies well your runs will be so much longer bro.

Jesse shin splints suck, but us footbaggers are tough.

Jas perhaps you need better insoles for your shoes.

Alex I am going to go to tasmania for footbag as well.

Session 7

Length: 60 minutes

Music: Trance as always, do not know the djs name but

drilled: Pixies

Assessment: average and tough. The squash season has begun so i had a good hitout with my training partner before fridays fixture. so i was happy to play footbag afterwards.

New records: 9 pixie legovers
dimwalk>alt butter>pdx mirage>parkwalk>alt butter rpt
8 contacts
smear>magellan>pixielegover rpt (7 contacts)
pixie ss mirage rpt (8 contacts) This was a nice surprise.

total time invested in footbag since (Jan 19 2006) = 8 hrs 30 mins.

nice stuff hagesy, ur really making a lot progress :D
the problem with shinsplints is not only the insoles but an imbalance between two leg muscles, and going from kicking roughly 2 times a week before the nationals to kicking everyday for a whole week for long periods of time is a big shock to my legs.
This really sucks as i really really want to shred, but im still havin trouble to be light footed like i used to, so ill give it another <week or something...

Props on the pixie stuff Hagesy!!! I didn't know your pixies were that awesome :).

My friends left at 2am this morning so I had my session then, I left my good bag inside, so I decided to challenge myself and play with a bag Toby made to test how much he can gather (so it is impossible to break in and ridiculously rolly!).

Solo Session 3: 1 hour (Yearly total: 4 hours)
Drilled: Butterfly, Osis, flip double dex, kicking, flip spins.
Notes: Somehow broke my osis and infinity records, not by much though. Infinity: 20, osis: 21. Got a pitiful 40 kicks. 4x flip spinning clip and hit a few spinning drills with ducking clips and infinities.
From the shred earlier that day: 7 atomsmashers, rubberman without butterflys. I will try hit it with butterflys soon.

Solo Session 4: 4 hours (Yearly total: 8 hours)
Drilled: Atw, datw, mirage, illusion, osis, stepping from butterfly, legbeater.
Notes: This solo session wasn't exactly solo, but me and Toby spent the time schooling our own concepts and helping eachother so i'm treating it as a solo session. I don't remember anything that especially stood out, but I got legbeater good enough to hit bsos and hit 3 ripwalks in a row, I have a lot of trouble stepping from butterfly, I hit 20something contacts of stepping toe > ss butterfly rpt.
The best part was at the end when me and Tob decided it was time to get back to basics! We had turns setting new records for all atws and mirage and illusion. Mine are...
Good atw- in:27 out:15
Flip atw- in:7(rofl) out:12
Illusion- good:20 flip:10
Mirage- good:59 flip:55
Toby beat me at all the atws except flip out or something (he hit 37 inatw first try :?) and I skooled his ass with illusion and mirage :D.

After that session my legs were so weak, I tried to run, but I coulden't make my legs move fast enough to lose my breath! I felt like a cripple.
Tomorrow is rest day... but no doubt i'll be shreding hard tomorrow night

smear>magellan>pixielegover rpt (New record of 9)

I will most likely train squash at least twice a week. Footbag is the bigger priority so if i hadn't played footbag one day and i should train for squash i would play footbag.

The thing in my favour is that i coach 5 days a week, which keeps me skills up, and footbag keeps my fitness pretty high. so if i train an extra two times a week with my training partner i think i can become the squash player i wanna be, which is the no 1 player in central queensland. I probably sit at about 4 at the moment.

Ok. Rant time.
I'm tired of the shit I'm copping at the moment.
We all know what happened in Melbourne, but people still find humor in making something more of it.
Ask yourselves... What were you prepared to do? Just sit there and feel uncomfortable for a while before being rude and offensive (or mabye even violent) toward someone who was so obviously off his tree, and just lonely?
Now, I'm not gay, and (as you would have seen) I don't have a problem with gays. What's your problem?
I probably shouldn't even justify it all with this post, but I'm just tired of it.
My name is Gareth. I was given that name at birth, and I copped years and years of shit for having a name that you cannot find on a pencil case!
I didn't change it then, and I'm not going to change it now. Like I said in another forum... I only answer to Gareth, or Sir (Mr Williams is my father).
I was picked on throughout highschool, and it made my life hell and helped me to live a life of depression and low self esteem.
Well, I consider you all friends, but I'm not going to put up with shit. That's why I'm writing this little rant.
Build a bridge... get over it.
It's a new day, so lets move on.
Play footbag and focus on that.
Thankyou.

I dont see anything wrong with your name :? Allllllso, pencil cases come with that little pad of letter so people can spell their names out!!

lol, atleast people dont spell your name wrong. Here are just a few of the ways my name has been spelled in the past.

Jesse
Jessy
Jessie (major one, actually the spelling for a girl Jesse)
Gessy
Jezzy
Jesee

and so on. Alllllllllso people always think I say "Jackie" on the phone when I say my name.

Your not alone Garrethe.

anyways, I played footbag lastnight

length: 75mins

Focus: insides, clippers, osis, infinities, overall technique, walkovers and atomics.

Positives: Atomsmashers are getting better bs and my osis technique is cleaner

Negatives: sore groin and ankles

-Jesse
Hopefully back one day.

Hey Gareth! Sorry dude! I didn't realise you were sensitive about your name man, my apoligize. About the gay thing, I just assumed you found it funny by the way you told us about it in Melbourne, I won't bring it up again :).
You're a cool guy man, I hope I haven't offended ya too much :(.

Hagesy, sounds like u got it sorted man! I'm surprised you get fitness from footbag instead of squash, I thought squash was the hard out sport! :)

Jesse you forgot my variations man! Jeese, Jesee and Jeesee ;)

Solo Session 5: 1 hour (Yearly total: 9 hours)
Drilled: Fairy, basics.
Notes: Mainly fairy this session, coulden't play too long because gf was there and she was getting board. I had to have a sesion today though!.
Fears: 17good 8Flip
Fairy legovers: 10 alternating?
Fairy ss mirage: 12alternating?
Fairy ss pickup: 15good 3Flip

Don't get me wrong, Nic. I can take a joke. But the sort of jokes that are at other peoples expense... they get old really quick.

I guess that's the point I was trying to make.
